First impressions . Like I said in a different post Myles turner pre draft workout was the best one I watched. Hes physically imposing and fits the nbas style of a smaller quicker 5 who has a diversity of skills. Also like a few others have said about Jarrell Eddie we have every opportunity to grab him like Miami grabbed white side. It would be MUCH smarter to use roster spots on guys like Eddie and benimon than admundson and Thomas. Eddie is by far the best 3 point shooter with size not in the nba and that won't last

On the other hand Winslow looked smooth as expected but in my own evaluation I though the new j rich was the 24 th best player in this draft and he looks the part. Miami will be much improved as they can play wade much less and add perimeter defense with their shot blockers

Hezonga will be good. He has a high dribble and that will need to be adjusted and was little nervous but you can also see why people are high on him. Good defensive player as well.

Kristaps needs to impose his incredible length inside. When we walk a 7-3 man out there I expect the same results Turner gave.

I have been HIGH on Eddie for awhile already since Finestng brought him up, comparing him to a Danny Green type off talent on OFFENSE with his ability to SHOOT

1- Jerrelle Benimon SF, SF/PF, strech 4, maybe a Lamor Odom type player as a triple double threat
2- Jarell Eddie, G/F, a Danny Green type talent on shooting
3- Scotty Hopson, G/F, with SG/PG abilities, another G/F that can shoot and score/penetrate/facilitate, decent versatile game as well

I was quite fond of him. If we cut Caledron he should be considered an option.

Hezonga won it those players were spent. Orlando is adding a very nice player there. His stats were good but you can see the potential exciting prospect. Hell be a little wild but you like that he has the shot and plays d

I really think Kristaps can dominate inside. If he is 3-11 with 7 3 point shots attempts and low rebounds it will be the wrong way to start . if you can't dominate inside with an athletic 7-3 player with a long span than something is foul

i think KP can contribute this year but even if he doesn't dominate in the Summer League this year, it doesn't limit his potential this year or the following year

MANY players improve much after 1year of experience in the NBA, including future HOF talents and TOP TIER MAX players

KP has a great work ethic and could improve much by as early as next summer or 2years later, just like Anthony Davis improved much, as well as Vucevic, and even Andre Drummond
It takes 2-3 seasons for young guys to take BIG LEAPS and improve

Those guys I listed above are perfect examples

Even guys like Westbrook, Durant, Harden, Ibaka, took time to develop, and did not contribute nearly as much as they do now, in their "rookie" years

There are not many "rookies" that can contribute right away on huge roles that are not drafted in to perfect situations like Lilliard was put in to as well as Justice Winslow this summer

Now there are talents that can do that but it just isn't "realistic" to expected them to do so in their rookie year like Tim Duncan or Lebron James
KP has a strong work ethic and I believe eventually will get there, the more he show cases his skills, the higher our chances in signing better FA's in the future
So putting surrounding him with players that FIT his abilities would be ideal for him and our team

Westbrook/Durant despite their talents and potential did not translate their talent to W's their rookie years, it takes time and patience
What really hurts us is that many of these teams were lottery teams for 2-3 teams, while we do not own a 1st rounder due to the trade for CA and AB

Thanks to Dolan and CAA of course

Without multiple draft picks,
There would be no Westbrook next to Durant/Harden/Ibaka/Jeff Green, along with Steph Curry/Klay THompson, Harrison Barnes/Draymond Green

The more draft picks you have, the more you can afford to hit or miss talents, we have little draft picks vs teams that have multiple draft picks
So every signing we make with FA's is much more important than it would be for a team rebuiliding...

That is why we must be much more creative than other teams, whether by D League, continued development on players on bad teams, International players, and/or trades to improve our roster
And Houston has always signed FA's that becomes assets and traded over and over again, to accumulate draft picks/assets, something we needed to do by structuring our deals and finding great value players/contracts on our team...

Phil Jackson has done a HORRIBLE job this summer thus far in FA, whether building for this upcoming year or for our future...

He had once described our previous roster as "clumsy" and it appears he has done even a worse job than that "clumsy" roster

Look at how The Nets and Houston and many other teams has signed some younger talents for the vet min, with much youth and undrafted players...
These guys he signed are overpaid and do not hold "trade value" for us moving forward

I don't know about the Nets. How many point guards do they nee? Why sign Larkin and Boatright when you already have DWil, Jack, and Blake? And how many point guards do they need sitting at the end of their bench? I like Alexander and Hollis-Jefferson. I am not sure about McCullough. I think they had to resign Bropez but he is a foot injury away from being done. Thad looked good for them. I don't know. Billy King made a mess and now he is trying to clean it up I guess. If I am King I am trying to move Jack or Blake to Dallas. I would guess Dallas has seen enough of Shane to stay away.
I'm tired,I'm tired, I'm so tired right now......Kristaps Porzingis 1/3/18

Kaminsky missed his last 4 shots missed two ga!e winners but had a solid showing. You can see the Dirk comparisons. Frank will be much more Dirk than kp. Kp needs to be a mid range to post monster

Thad Young and Lopez resigned

They have added many YOUNG players last year to this summer, that they can look develop for their future, that are COST EFFICIENT and do could easily be traded or at worst NOT hurt their salary cap
Some of which are VET MINS

Larkin/Boatright

Markel Brown
Sergey Karasev
Bojan Bogdanovic

Hollis Jefferson
Earl Clark

Alexander
Thomas Robinson

Chris McCullough
Corey Jefferson
Jerome Jordan (who has been rumored to be resigned with them as the 3rd Center that we once BOUGHT the rights to)

While Johnson could be traded this year and has interest from teams contending as an expiring, as well as Jarret Jack's as well

Steve Blake is in an expiring and likely waived/traded at some point

And Deron Williams's contract ends 2years later at worst,

At the very least, I see a vision in young players that could be part of their future moving forward or not hurt their future's ability to sign talents on short term deals and rookie scaled contracts
Along with veterans that could be traded for assets moving forward and could be packaged for other talents moving forward

No I am not suggesting that they will be good however, I am saying that they are putting themselves to have a chance to develop young talents that are low risk players
Lopez if healthy is a very solid center that is a double double threat with a pair of blocks on a nightly basis with a mid range game as well and Thad Young is a versatile player that played well with him last year
