We need a rim protector, yeah, but we also need a second scorer, preferibly from the post.

Eh, Lopez is ok. Once we start hitting long term, double digit million contracts you might as well go after DeAndre Jordan.

They were at 55.1% when Greg Monroe was under the rim, which is pretty bad. I think average is around 52 or 53%. For a lot of reasons, I'm thinking for half the price Lopez is a better deal than Monroe.

Monroe's defensive numbers will be better at Center. My numbers would be better guarding today's centers. Of course Lopezs numbers are better he doesn't have to guard the best players in the game like Monroe did. Monroe had no choice playing next to another center in Drummknd

I do think Monroe is better at C than PF but those #s are the shooting percentage of the entire opposition when the player is under the rim. So if Monroe is the Piston closest under the rim and the one responsible for protecting the rim, it's counting everything - whether a PG, C or anyone else got the shot off.

That's half the battle I guess.

That's actually good. It gives Lopez a lot of leverage though.

I hope they can close him but at what price. Asik got $12m. Really, I think the knicks have a fighting chance because of Brook being in town.

agreed. lets hope theres room for harris (doubt it)
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Yeah. I think if they could get Harris it would be a home run.

The WS/48 crowd cant say jack about Ropez... he's a good player. I like Melo at the 4 if we get him and maybe some defensive help at the 3. Dunleavy would have been a nice stop gap player (not so much for defense, but heady vet play). If Thanasis could hit an outside shot our best lineup might be with the greek at the 3 and MElo at the 4 and Ropze at the 5. Or small w/ Grant/Calderon/Affie... will see

I checked

One positive about him (aside from being pretty decent) is he's youngish and doesnt have a ton of miles. He didnt play a lot early and last 3 years he's only at 27mpg ish

He'd be a great pickup. Lakers will be all over chasing him, too. Knicks better not sleep.

Well if that happen you can start up that Melo own the franchise posts and that Phil wanted to make it up to Melo so he grabbed his friends.

Next we will see K. Martin return...

I am hearing that Phil suggested that since Brook Lopez is now making a sh1t load of money, that Robin should live with him so that he can give the knicks a huge discount. Damn! Phil thinks of everything.

Asik got $12M, Tyson got $13M... have to think Rolo gets $11-13M in this environment. I'd offer a starting salary of $12M and hope like hell he takes it.
