![]() Looked over Mo N'Dour's box scores from the PIT. He played for 'K & D Rounds Landscaping.' Box scores and game footage is archived here: https://www.portsmouthinvitational.com/schedule-results.html
Only played 3 games -- here are his lines: Game 1: 22 mins., 4 pts, 2-10 FGs, 0-4 from 3, 5 rebs, 4 blocks. Can't conclude much of anything from this small sample. I actually watched game 1 in its entirety and plan on reviewing games 2 & 3 as well. He didn't start the 1st game but right after the starters were announced, the color commentator made it a point to mention him as someone to watch, pointing out his impressive numbers from college--FG%, 3-pt FG%, his shot-blocking/rebounding...Some takeaways from game 1 -- didn't shoot it well but all the shots he took were pretty much in rhythm and didn't look forced. You can tell by his college clips (even his Sophomore Monroe JUCO college clip) that he's a much stronger offensive player than what he showed here.. Looks like he's got a good idea what he's doing on the court though, active yet under control for the most part (esp. compared to some of the other players out there--a couple of good players in this game including Pat Connaughton, but by and large most of the players out there competing for both teams were subpar--it's not uncommon to play down to the competition, happens sometimes), he ran the pick & roll to absolute perfection, setting good clean picks out high then showed good quickness diving to the basket looking for the pass (too bad he wasn't playing with skilled enough guards to get him the ball here), showed some ability in the post, he boxed out real well against bigger players, was very unselfish (to a fault at times, passing up wide open looks) and he looks like a real good teammate. And he definitely shows promise as a shot-blocker...One big criticism -- he lost sight of his man quite a few times. He'll have to work on staying with his man and switching off/closing out much harder when the need arises. Otherwise, I though he looked promising and like he belonged. Very excited to see this kid play for us in Vegas. |

BUT it seems to me that the guys who make the NBA almost ALWAYS stand out here. Now he couldve been used poorly??? Averaging 4 points and 25% shooting will need some serious improvement in SL action if he wants to get to camp. RIP Crushalot😞
