remember, any trade you guys think of...always recheck to think if LaLa would sign off on it!!!
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

LA or Miami is best bet. Winning a chip probably not necessary just a bonus.

Melo to Brooklyn makes sense. For Joe Johnson's 25 mill, cap for next year when Durant is a FA.

he already thinks hes a winner and he (and his ambitious wife) are all about branding. basketball is "beneath" melo now

I agree. I think that he makes a lot of sense for cleveland.

these lebron years may be the last time they sniff a ring in any sport in the next 100 years.

What does Cleveland have to offer?

Opening up $100 million dollars of cap space for the Knicks over the next 4 years!

You mean the picks the ainge couldn't even give away..

Saving 70 mill to gain loser players and late draft picks, just to get rid of a marquee player. that wouldn't be a smart business move, or a smart basketball move

How hard will be, I'm hearing LBJ will be paid close to 40 mill per starting next season. Top tier players will avg around 20 mill per yr, in fact melo salary will be a bargin by 2017

I have faith that Brooklyn could be nasty bad this year and the pick has no protection. At the deadline you could dump Thomas for another couple of picks and go into next years free agency with max cap space again with multiple draft picks. We pick up a a high quality young player as well in Mickey who i think will develop nicely. The Cs with all of their guards--if they can get melo a frontocurt free agnet to go along with Zeller Sullinger Crowder Olynck--theyd be pretty stacked. Carmelo would never be om a better team with a great coach. I would even want Bostons 2017 pick--Id rather have their Phoenix pick.

No matter what you say, Carmelo is NEVER going to agree to go to Boston
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

That might be the case three years from now but certainly not next season.

Does Pau Gasol have a no trade clause? Offer Melo for Gasol (great mentor for Porzingis) and filler plus draft picks. Gasol has a three year deal. The Bulls are going to put more of an emphasis on offense next season with their new coach. Would be good for both teams.

Exactly. I thought they only offered him around $75 mil, and that was before he had season-ending surgery

Been a few years guys. Good to be back.

Thinking we sign Jimmy Butler to a 2 year contract with opt out after one. (Which is what he's looking to do). Bulls would obviously match but they could trade him if know he's looking to be somewhere else after next season. Maybe he & Taj Gibson (coming off injury but would be the perfect player to hold down the 4 until Zinger is ready) for Melo would do it??

and we want butler too?

if they want to do a sign and trade for butler, I am sure that they can get back a nice valuable package.

This thing that carmelo is not worth a small fortune is crazy. We just traded Tim hardaway for pick #19 in a good draft. Carmelo is worth atleast 1 unrestricted pick plus another a good established player and a good young player.

Id easily keep him if not. I would not take less than a 2 first round 1 high end prospect 1 established GOOD player trade. Carmelo's still a high end player--he just might not be meant for the Knicks. Boston tried to give 6 picks for Winslow. Carmelo is is still worthy of huge compensation back. Im probably low balling it. Im sure the Knicks would want more.

We gave up gallinari Mosgov Chandler and two unrestricted picks

I thought that Carmelo makes much more that THJ but I could be wrong.
