Exactly

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I don't think anyone would take Melo at this point

Teams would still take Melo, he was an All star last year and still has a few more years of high production left. The real question is would Melo waive his no trade clause to go to those teams? Hell honestly if he asked to be traded it might be a blessing in disguise. The knicks would get a pretty damn good haul for him.

don't think they would get that much for him. If they would, they would dump him in a heart beat (though Dolan will not allow it because how much money he makes for MSG, but if he starts/continues to stink, dolan would dump him in a ny second)

They can't dump him in a heart beat he has a no trade clause. They wouldn't even seriously look into trading for him unless he fell off or he himself asks for a trade because if he said no they would be stuck with him and it would poison the relationship. If he asks for a trade now and the knicks make it known he is available they'll get offers from probaly 20 teams at the minimum. The issue is would Melo be willing to go to the team.

The algorithm gives and the algorithm takes away

maybe atlanta ... they seem to be in the dumb mode

They don't have the contracts to send back, Who would they give us Milasap sign and trade?

I would do this deal in a freaking heartbeat. We are garenteed 45 win team if that happens.
Grant
Shved
Dunleavey
Milsap
Porzingis.

wow! thats a terrible team

How? I mean it is the most practical starting five we could put out. We could always replace shved with Danny green but in the long run, that is going to be a nice starting five

If CA is not happy, he can demand a trade
CA and Phil Jackson own each other's fate in some sense, both must approve of the trade
15% trade kicker and a NO TRADE CLAUSE for CA, so need his approval as well as Phil Jackon's approval as he makes the FINAL CALL/DECISION on ALL BASKETBALL DECISIONS

Lets see what happens

1- Houston
2- Bulls
3- Cleveland

4- Clippers
5- Miami

- Lakers
- Bobcats (he can build his Jordan brand with Jordan) Bobcats have a very solid roster this year if AL Jefferson can come back healthy with Kemba/Battum/MKG
- Mavs
- Spurs

- GS
- OKC
- TWOLVES *they have a lot of YOUNG TALENT and it sounds as a joke but the youth and potential of TWOLVES would allow them to contend with many high potential YOUNG TALENTS*

Sure there are others, but those are less likely like

Bucks
Suns
Detroit
Kings

Portland
Magic

Philly, IF LEBRON wants to go to Philly with CA and with 55 picks to use to improve, some in trades, with many young talents and possible TOP/2nd TIER PF/C's
Probably could also FIT another player such as WADE as well, not a MAX for Wade but about 12-15m, they would have to unload some salaries like Embid, Wroten, though and they have the assets to do so

PG Lebron
SG maybe even Covington *WHICH I WANT BACK, along with MANY MANY MANY DRAFT PICKS*
CA
Noel
OK4 *TAKING OK4, COVINGTON and MANY DRAFT PICKS, Phil Jackson owns CA despite his no trade clause*

Still like Tony Wroten too, could unite Grant with his brother or cousin?

Wroten
Covington
OK4

ALL UNPROTECTED PICKS PERIOD as well
2 1st rounders, 8 future 2nd rounders
If they say no for OK4, I want 10 1st rounders LOL

Lebron and CA are very good friends, basically ANYWHERE TOGETHER they go, they could be contenders

Portland can be as well with Lilliard being their BIG 3, PG/SG to spread the floor as CA and Lebron would allow Lilliard to shoot MANY WIDE OPEN 3pters
With Lebron being able to POST UP or PENETRATE with the shooters they have and a stretch 4/5 in Meyers Leanard

So basically teams that have the ability to sign Lebron and TRADE for CA could unite them together to contend

Teams with BOLD are teams that have NO STATE TAX so he can earn much more money with the 15% trade kicker as well

Would also prefer to unload CALDERON WITH CA, which would OPEN MUCH ROOM UP FOR US

In the right team, Calderon's ability to shoot the ball, high TO/ASS ratio for his entire career, and if he is the 2nd/3rd ball handler, he would be much better than he played with us, his ability to spread the floor and play OFF the ball would be solid if he actually had talent around him and players that draw attention away from him
For instance,

Calderon *CJ McCollum*, though likely Gereld Henderson would be starting with Lilliard playing PG with Lebron
Lilliard
CA
Lebron
Meyers Leanard

He started off injured and was never able to get it going early, then we lacked too much talent as we were running a completely different OFFENSE which took time to get use to

Anthony’s frustration with the Jackson regime would be nothing new. The Post reported in December he was so depressed about the team’s losing record, he would consider waiving his no-trade clause if the Zen Master came up with a deal. After the season, Anthony admitted he had “second-guessed’’ his decision to resign with the Knicks as a free agent before Jackson put him at ease during a January dinner in London.

Carmelo Anthony upset with Phil Jackson?

Carmelo Anthony feels “completely hoodwinked and betrayed by Phil Jackson’’ after the Knicks traded Tim Hardaway Jr. and selected European project Kristaps Porzingis with the fourth pick of the draft, according to a radio report by ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith.

The report cited sources close to Anthony, who is currently in Las Vegas for his wife La La’s birthday. “All they said was he’s furious, he’s livid, he feels completely hoodwinked and betrayed by Phil Jackson,’’ Smith said. “He feels like he was lied to and sold a bill of goods. He’s willing to concede he wanted his money, but he didn’t know it would be like this and this bad. He can’t believe the second season for Phil Jackson he has to look forward to being worse than last season was.”

ronron... nice consolidation post.

Love this:

“It’s in my hands,” Porzingis said. “They’re booing me because maybe they don’t know me or they don’t want a European on their team. It’s in my hands to make those booing fans into applauding fans and cheer for me.”

Hearing that right away was music to my ears. Guy is already a gym rat

I think Cleveland is perfect. Maybe we can get Mozgov back?!?

S&T Love, Melo - maybe a third team as I'm not crazy about Love? Is that even feasible.

Love wouldn't have to be a part of it. He could simply walk in FA. From what I gather, free agents dont get that extra year in sign and trades anymore so the incentive to do them isn't as large. But in the case of this hypotherical trade he'd probably have to be part of it to match Melo's salary. Love for Melo would be fantastic IMO, but I doubt it'd happen. I dont think Love has any interest in coming to a lottery team. But it could also be a multi-team trade with Love going somewhere else, sure.

I don't think Melo gets traded this off-season.

I think he'll make a go of it in 2015-6 season and then maybe ask for a trade the following year if it seems like the Knicks aren't going to be contenders.

I think Phil will help Melo mellow out. Phil has the right sorts of pharmaceuticals to make this happen.

I'm not buying this Isola and SAS fed crap until I hear it from Melo himself that he wants out. I think this sounds silly and hard to believe given how tuned in Melo was with the process. So much so that he as there watching KP work out. I smell a rat and i'm not sure who it really is but it stinks.

Why do this crap on one of the best nights for the franchise and right before Free Agency when we need to show a united front in order to convince Free Agents to come here. This is an act of sabotage in terms of free agency. There's almost no chance you can sign good players if you are having an internal war with your team's best player. This is HORRIBLE timing. Melo better fix this right now.

Plus- there are so many teams with cap room after this season - I agree, if Melo goes - either because we want him & talk him into it, or he does- its not this year, its next year.

And I would say remote chance at this deadline if we are sucking horrible, I could maybe see a deal happen.

Man we need Melo to fix this and make a public statement cuz we can't get Free Agents to come here with an open war going on. That's the more important factor.

Yeah, I agree about the last part. If they are 10-32 again with no draft pick at the trade deadline, I think Melo will want out. Heck, Dolan will probably want Phil and Fisher out at that point. The Knicks!

If Melo keeps making dumb comments we'll have no shot at adding the help this team needs to compete. No FA will come if the think Melo is looking for a way out. That's the real problem with these kind of rumors and why i can't stand Isola and SAS. All they do is make trouble for the Knicks. Remember they talked about the Knicks probably tampering with other teams players. It just one attack after another.
still think Melo/Isiah/Dolan/CAA are running the show?
