holfresh it's Isiah's plan. Just tell yourself that and you should be happy for the next 4 years even if we average 25 wins. I mean, Phil cant make water wine out of water right?

Woodson was off a won 54 team when Phil was offered the job...We won 17 games last year..I wouldn't call that water to wine..We might just do 25 wins with no pick next year..You and Nix can hug and jump for joy as Phil continues to fart roses...

Who has phil coached that was on mount rushmore before he coached them?

Your fearful because you can't see phils plan. Why do you think your any different than anyone not in that inner circle of Knick management?
If you choose not to accept what is being offered to you from the UK thats your choice, but your not really coming up with logical alternatives either.
Until then your just being negative.

Nobody is saying Phil has a contending team. Some of us are just dealing with what is, and understand without the benefit of hindsight how hard it is to make decisions.
With hindsight you can see things that could have happend.

Then we won 37 games. your missing a year. what elements of the 54 game win season should have carried forward? What players created that foundation and how did the next season go? Same coach. Was it all Bargnani's fault? We gave up a future pick, so its not like we traded out anyone.

Phil got the job during the 37 win season..The team knew Woodson was a goner during that year..Dolan an Ohil spoke December of that year..

The element that should have been carried forward was Woodson..

It's an apt statement. Holfresh will always be disgruntled. And it has nothing to do with weed. SMH.

My anti-Phil agenda?..Aren't u confused as me regarding a plan?

u already asked and answered this question. u are on tilt but i will try to break it down for u:

1) jackson is building a team through the draft for life beyond $melo, and he will acquire free agents between the ages of 25-29 to try to make the knicks respectable while $melo is here, and who may also be here after $melo is given his well-deserved heave-ho.

2) jackson was forced by dolan to sign $melo as part of the deal to have a chance at rebuilding the knicks properly.

here's a good quetion for u to chew on: of the two, who do you think loves the knicks more, jackson or dolan?

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Maybe Phil was amicable to bringing Melo back for a few reasons:

29pts pergame don't grow on trees.
Trade asset if decided to part ways.

If it works then move forward. If Melo wants out he can find a trade that works. Teams do want him.

http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/11691714/phil-jackson-new-york-knicks-james-dolan-meddle-decisions

Jackson said Sunday that he spoke to Dolan about having full autonomy to make basketball decisions before he accepted the job as Knicks president.

"I was point blank and honest with him and said, 'If I walk into your office or call you up on the telephone and tell you that I want to trade X player who's an All-Star or Y player who's the fans' favorite, if I think it's the right move, I want you to feel confident that I can do this, will you give me the liberty to do this?' And he said yes, and that's really the key," Jackson said while speaking at The New Yorker Festival in Manhattan.

Jackson's authority extended to the team's decision to re-sign Carmelo Anthony, according to the team president. Dolan told Jackson before he took the job in March that if Jackson didn't feel signing Anthony was the "right direction to go, then you don't have to sign him."
Phil Jackson, speaking Sunday at The New Yorker Festival in Manhattan, said he talked to Knicks owner James Dolan about having full autonomy to make basketball decisions before he accepted the job as president. Brad Barket/Getty Images

"I had that liberty to make that choice and needed to have that to come and do the job the right way," said Jackson, who inked a five-year, $60 million deal to run the Knicks.

Jackson ultimately re-signed Anthony to a five-year, $124 million contract.

"He has just touched the surface of his greatness, and I think we have a guy that has a lot more to offer," Jackson said of the 30-year-old Anthony.

U lost me when u said Jackson was forced by Dolan..If you want to discuss..Lets keep it real and be honest..Don't deflect the thugs u don't agree with to Doaln..Be a man and man up..Own it..

you don't believe that its possible that Phil was not given a choice in regards to signing melo?

No..He said many times that Dolan gave him the choice not to resign Melo..Question is why don't you believe him??

you believe everything that phil says? Is it possible that phil was just saying that because he had to?

what should he have said? That it was not what he wanted and that the idiot owner forced him?

C'mon.

Melo is a huge cash cow for msg. Phil is not stupid and knows that this was not a battle that he could win.

I would bet that now phil has lots of reservations about Melo and would certainly not mind trading him. He probably also knows that he may not be able to build around him and he has to think about life passed melo.

I think that the pick shows that he is thinking about life after melo which is what seems to be making you lose it.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

As I posted in another thread, your obsession with Phil is getting to stalker like levels. This OP is down right alarming and weird.

29pts pergame don't grow on trees.
Trade asset if decided to part ways.

If it works then move forward. If Melo wants out he can find a trade that works. Teams do want him.

Come on Nolad, I know u have Phil's back..U are smarter than the average bear..U and I both know Phil is winging it..There is no plan...I get what you say..Culture Change for you is better than changing the engine of the same jet plane every 4 years..I get it...I don't even think you are convinced that Phil is going down that road...I'm not..Greg Monroe will be knocking our doors soon..

I could give 2 ****s about Phil Jackson..Like MDA before him..I'm a Knick fan first and foremost..As soon as PHil is out the Garden, I could care less what he does..He can then go live on a weed plantation for all I care...You just don't agree with my point of view which is good at times..We need not all think alike..No need to draw me into your creepy discussion...
