He will be able to do much of what Bargs did except not defending opposing C's. Offensively tho he can fill a good role. That leaves Melo and possibly Monroe/West to post up. I could see Phil going in that direction.
I actually think Phil could bring back Shved. He fit this offense like a glove and would bring scoring off the bench. He can drive and kick and should be a reasonable contract.
I think Danny Green and Carroll will be on the radar. The could offer the kind of 2 way play and position versatility we need.
I don't know if they have the money to add say Monroe-or-West and Green-or-Carroll and then also bring back Shved. Depends how much Shved wants.
I liked Shved a lot - he and Galloway were the only bright spots last season, really. I'd like to see him back, but they will not be able to extend him a qualifying offer if they want their full $27M in cap space. He has a $4M qualifying offer and a $6M cap hold. They will have to let him go unrestricted if they want their full cap room. Obviously, by the time they have to do that the first wave of FA will be over and they'll know more or less who and what they can get and whether they'll be able to QO Shved or what.
