so is bargnani
If you go by measurements it is 4 inches. He is 7'3 in sneakers and he may still be growing.
Hell end up as a 7-3 250 pound skill center. Maybe better than anyone in the draft at the end of the day. We should NOT bypass this opportunity.
Pretty sure we will, Briggs.
I really think Phil will go for the physically more mature player. He has the "Porzingis project" excuse that he can use. Porzingis is the guy you take if you don't resign Anthony.
I know its not smart, but it's the world we live in.
I would take Kaminsky over Mudiay and Winslow at this point if he's looking for NBA ready.
A PG known for getting to the basket who shoots 58% from the FT line is an issue, and his shooting inconsistency has been talked about for a long time. This is his pre-China scouting report on DraftNet. His weakness before China were evident there, too.
Weaknesses: Very streaky shooter … Needs to develop a consistent midrange shot …Takes too long to get shot off … Must become a better free throw shooter … Sometimes too flashy and tries hard to make the big play which leads to turnovers … Occasionally over dribbles … Should become more of a vocal leader ... Needs to stay in a stance on defense and close out low with hands high ...Overall: Emmanuel Mudiay is arguably the top point guard in the class of 2014 and will almost certainly be a one and done player. Under the tutelage of Larry Brown at SMU his decision making will undoubtedly improve and he will learn how to run a team in the half court. With his size and quickness Mudiay has the potential to be a top 10 pick and with an improved jump shot could become a future NBA All Star ...
Feel better about Winslow, but he actually shot about 25% on his 2pt Js last year, and he also had FT issues. I could live with him, though.
Kaminsky is a compromise- NBA ready with some great fundamentals, and he does many of the things you see from Porzingis.
Probably be Mudiay, though.
EnySpree: Can we agree to agree not to mention Phil Jackson and triangle for the rest of our lives?
