It's unbelievable how the league seems help restock the Lakers cupboard. SMH...And the Kings of all teams is going to help the Lake show? I hope this doesn't go down...With that said, I dont think Ok4 is a good fit for the Lakers with Randle coming back. I think they get in each others way....

Would the Lakers be willing to trade Randle to the Knicks? I know we don't have assets to make it happen, I am just saying

Randle, Clarkson and the 2nd pick would be moved to get DMC.

Why would they trade the second pick for a headcase like Cousin??

Because Cousins is really good. How do the Kings keep Karl? He tried to get Cousins teammates to go against them. In attempting to not look dysfunctional by firing a second coach in a short period of time they are going to trade their franchise player.

I have never been a Cousins fan. I just don't like headcases. Also, Clyde does not like him one bit. In almost every games vs the Kings Clyde always mentions laziness and lack of smarts in Cousins part. I think Clyde might have ruined Cousins for me.

Towns is a lock at 1 according to ESPN Sportscenter this morning. So I am guessing that this is Phil's top 3 minus Towns is...

1. Okafor
2. Porzingis
3. Russell

I have Russell at 3 because Phil keeps saying that we don't have bigs.

They know by now Russell is off the board, as is Okafor. They're worried about Stein's foot and Winslow's position and lack of defined game. They don't like Mudiay. They'll either take Porzingis at 4 or trade down for Lyles or Kaminsky.

Note: I hate this list of players and hate the direction Phil is going in this draft and think the Knicks will live to regret passing on Winslow, Mudiay, Stein and probably others.

Chris Broussard reporting basically the same list I just did:

If Jahlil Okafor and D’Angelo Russell are off the board when the Knicks select at No. 4, the club will have its eye on Kristaps Porzingis, Frank Kaminsky, and Trey Lyles, Chris Broussard reports (June 25, 11:47 am).

According to Broussard, the Knicks could also be interested in Emmanuel Mudiay under the above scenario.

It’s expected that Karl-Anthony Towns and Okafor will go 1-2, with Russell likely being selected by the 76ers with the No .3 pick.

On Wednesday night, Phil Jackson said the Knicks had narrowed their choice for the No. 4 pick down to three players.

Agreed...I'm thinking PJax is too committed to the freakin' triangle....How about you just draft the BPA. Trey Lyles, though...smh

Anthony (NYC)

We've stuck with the Knicks for a long time. Taking Frank or Trey at 4 because he fits Phil's esoteric views on hoops (not even sure they do but whatever) may be the last straw.
Chad Ford (1:09 PM)

Well said. If Russell or Okafor are there, I think they take him. But if they're not, all bets are off. Knicks are talking potential trades with everyone and would move down a few spots if they got an asset. But if they stayed at 4, drafting Kaminsky isn't out of the question. Porzingis might have more upside, but there are concerns he's not ready to play right now. Mudiay has more upside too, but he's not a perfect fit in the triangle. In short, who knows what the Knicks are doing.

From Chad Ford's draft chat right now. I'm with this questioner. Sigh.

Does anyone really think we would take Trey at 4? I mean cmon... unless of course its so we can then trade him for Towns straight up. That makes more sense.

I think the plan may be to trade down for Lyles or Kaminsky.

Would you be cool, for instance, if the Knicks did that trade with Denver to select 7th and get Nurkic?

If we come out of this draft with Kaminsky and Nurkic, I may jump out my window.

I have no clue. Really hard to envision that scenario. I mean isnt Nurkic out for a year?

Trey is regarded as a high ceiling prospect with his shooting and 7'4 wingspan... I just dont know. The pro game is also funny... some of these guys translate, others dont.

Nothing the Knicks do makes me too crazy anymore. Im just in wait and see mode until the fall. Im more interested in the total roster and what we look like then. Who knows if we dont trade whoever we pick this summer later one... I just dont know. Maybe Trey becomes the best player in the draft.

I think he takes Knickstape Porkbiscuits and calls it a day (thank Evil for that one)

Hahn, Ian and Berman all seem to believe Knicks are taking Mudiay now...the plot thickens. One thing is for sure, Pjax and this staff has played it more close to the vest than any recent Knick front office...
