What I want to know is why the hell we aren't trying to trade up! Nominally speaking, it'd only be two spots which can't be that great a leap for us. And more importantly, Phil is boning the team owner! You'd think he'd get a hometown discount or something in the deal.

Other than Phil's bedroom talents and great charm, what exactly do we have to offer the Lakers at this point in time??

Does he really need more than the 4th pick, another late first rounder and some of that 6"9' vintage loving to get it done?

He does, because we would be coming to them for something. Not sure love counts in this kind of deal.
