Thats a weird thin list with mostly obscure schools. We could use a penetrating athletic guard who plays D and a cheap athletic secondary interior player.

I really like Norman Powell from UCLA as a guard with length - especially if the go big early. Mickey and Christmas will be long gone by then. Larry Nance Jr. and Pat Connaughton are possibilities. Not that impressed with the Harrison twins.

After his injury Michael Qualls probably goes undrafted. I would love to see the Knicks sign him to a d league deal and pay/support him through his rehab like Philly did with Pierre Jackson. I think Qualls would have been a great second round pick if he didn't get hurt.

Norman Powell will be THE absolute steal of the draft. Great second round--heck he may go 27 and down but I would LOVE to get this guy. His abilities scream that they translate to the NBA in a BIG way. Powerful long super athletic great defender beautiful penetration from any angle can push from 1 or 2. Hs a mid range jumpshot. Willing passer solid rebounder from 2 G can play bigger in terms of D. VERSATILE

You want to play good defense in the NBA? You better find defenders like Powell and Justin Andersen on the wing. Andersen will go to high but Powell can be had

We have put VERY little emphasis on the 2nd round and for the most part the D league in many years. The Knicks have given away 2nd rounders like they were free throw in for the heck of it. When we go to make a trade--we never have positions 12-15 on the bench --guys who are young who have showed professional upside. Even now Lou Admundson Smith etc... no one wanst these guys so we devoid our trading pool.

Why wouldnt we bring in an Atkins? What if we find out in the SL that hes good or better than Admundson and NO cost. Then we have a 22 year old player on the roster who can help the team and OR be stockpiled as trading chips. Instead we use all of our draft picks until we have none left.
