The NFL recently started cracking down on players who wore Beats head phones in post game interviews..The rule is that you can't wear any other audio product besides BOSE, 90 minutes after the game...Players walking into the arena in with their Beats headphones wasn't a problem..Do you really think LeBron or Blake drives a KIA to the Arena??..Or when Tiger's wife took a golf club to his head and his car, do you think Buick must have been pissed and want to sue because the beat down wasn't done in a Buick??..I doubt the NBA or any other sports organization has any control over what a player does outside of that sports sanctioned appearance or event, nor do I care to be honest...

JR strikes me as a guy who is trying to enjoy the moment...I think he is taking it all in and living the dream...He honestly isn't trying to be a terrorist in our dreams..I know most fans enjoys KG and the scowl on his face as he enters the Arena..He must really care...But JR isn't that cat..This always confounds me in our society or in our Corporate culture, that we want everyone to behave the same..We want the masses to conform and they usually do..He is not going to pretend for you..If JR loosens up by riding a Segway to the game, then God bless him....It's refreshing to see someone not pretend the world is coming to an end if protocol isn't followed to the letter and if the game isn't won..It's a business and we get it...JR is an easy target for most ills within the Knick organization or in basketball..He is the reason the Knicks won 17 games..He is the reason Fisher can't coach, he is the reason the triangle doesn't work..He is the reason Jeremy Lin left...He is the reason we didn't sweep Boston..He is the reason we lost to Indiana..He is the reason Phil Jackson made those bad trades..He is the reason Cleveland lost last night...Did I mention he killed his friend??...And now he wants to kill us all..What a guy...

Phil Jackson probably smoked more weed than JR in his lifetime as a basketball player..But it's cute when Phil did it, it's Zen..Phil can't tolerate the likes of JR on his team smoking weed, he is a bad seed...

JR game is what needs attention, not a toy.

Cavs got to the playoffs with a good balanced roster. NObody disputes JR's talent.
Then Love went down and Mozzy/Tristen stepped up. Kyrie then went down and JR step up his game?

No, he is wilting under the bright lights. Cavs are not in the finals because of JR smith.
Shump is playing up to what Shump plays to. This is what JR does. Either suspended, parties, or stinks it up. He don't step up.

His play, not his smile, hair cut, tweets, young money, ass, or toy should emerge.

Holfresh, JR strikes me a guy who has self esteem problems and only has basketball to keep him up. Self sabatage puts him in a place where he feels he belongs.
First and formost is the play on the court. As a knick fan I took the guy for what he does on the court and marveled at his talent. I saw a kid with a world of talent who instead of taking on the challange of college basketball succumb to the easy path and seemed to find a comfort zone of being immature and thats ok reason. Dude is not young anymore and to some extent instead of focusing being professional and evolving as a player he prefers to keep the "live in the moment" thing and act the fool.

What he does off the court is his business. He wants to kill his friends, play golf, do a golf charity and feel good about it, give his family his money, party, get high, and tweet, I could care less.
But on the court is when it counts. And when you do work as a team to advance and everyone is giving it everything they got and your sucking it up on the court, bringing a toy to the arena to deflect from that is what an immature young man would do.

When Rodman would act like a fool off the court it got him a lot of attention but on the court the dude was not just a great teamate, but he performed! Jr can fly in on a jetpack for all I care as long as he does his job.

Check the numbers...Cavs are not in the playoffs without JR, maybe with their record, maybe...JR and Shump are the reason Cavs are in the playoffs and Moz and even Tristan to a lesser extent..Tristan have been beasting in the playoffs and Moz plays his role..They were a .500 team before the trade...You are trying not to give JR credit as usual..You are trying to transfer it to Moz because of his last few games...Come on, Man up...I saw u manned up once where you said JR helped them to the Finals, but just once..Once you got the chance to throw him in the gutter, its like clockwork...

Sure he needs to step up...But JR thrives is a certain role...We all know this..The fact that he has been off the last couple of games have nothing to do with his off the court issues in the past..Every bad game, we need to know he killed his friend, really??..And you say you are only concerned about what he does on the court..You seem to be more interested in vindicating Phil's decision...

Sorry- not worth arguing with you on this if you can't see that doing anything which might get you injured before a championship game is foolish.
Also ironic that Smith has himself admitted his "enjoy the moment" lifestyle in NYC while with the Knicks hurt his performance, something that he was also criticized for during the Pacer playoff series.

Your reaction to any criticism of Smith makes me honestly believe that if JR actually did kill his friend you would be on this forum pushing his innocence until the moment the guilty verdict came in.

Like the Tiger Woods comment, though- can think of some funny commercials.

you seem to have an Isiah like softspot for him. He gets high and suspended "everyone does it." He parties and plays like crap "all NBA guys party." He acts like an idiot "He's a free spirit."

Now they are in the finals... all by their own merits right? Nothing to do with riding on the buss with the best player of our generation right?

Yea.. "JR thrives in a certain role"

When allowed shoot anytime and do what he wants he's great. When held accountable the excuses start like above. You want him on your team? Knowing that at any time he could shoot you right out of the playoffs? Like he did for the Knicks? Like he's about to do for the Cavs?

Wow... you have an interesting group of players/coaches/GMs you cozy up to

Last night was the most JR Smith game of all-time. Most Shump game, too. I'd like to thank them for reminding me why Phil just dumped them.

yea.. JR: Shot not falling? Keep tying. Shump isnt as stupid but he's the one of the worst offensive players around. He's about as good on offense as Toney Douglas was at running PG

you can never ever ever justify dumping those guys for a bag of rocks, even if they are inconsistent , their positives pretty much out weigh their negatives which is really all you want from people

Not devastated that they are both gone, don't miss JR at all after his confession that his game suffered because of the NYC nightlife, but yeah, we should have gotten something more back from the Cavs in terms of future picks.

There was a report that the Cavs actually wanted Prigs, too- not sure it was a separate trade, instead of, or him being added to the other two, but the Knicks did not do it, and got much better value for him with Houston. Expect that the Cavs were trying to shortchange us a second time.

They really could have used him in this series.

Priggy a 58 year old who is a free agent likely to head back overseas and we got a 2nd round pick!!
Phil dumped JR. Did not want him. Im sure many wanted more in return but how do you value him?
Cav's needed insurance if Kyrie went down. Jr did great when Kyrie was playing. Now is his time to shine.

I think we got 2 of them for him, as well as the Ruskie.

Great post !
You win as a TEAM and LOSE as 1, but when certain individuals thinks Pro titles quests is all about fun & making themselves the dummy spotlights
Well need I say more eh ??

Matter of time before JR Imploded as his 3's went into ocean Yesterday Game #4 when CAVs and Mr. Lebron, City of cleveland needed JR Smith the most

All we get is these pics, these stories leading up to game 4 about the selfish-side OF what we all knew in NY City & Knickland.

Carmelo Anthony gets dumped on & some MELO draws to himself but when NYK Star went down did JR Step up ? Did JR Smith step up last season
when Coach then Mike Woodson desperately tried to make NYK team get into NBA 20132014 playoffs ? barely missing playoffs which JR mentor Mike Woodson got exiled & Axed'.

This dude JR & Shump-ut is only reason I wan't these idiots (2 ex knicks ) to lose
not Lebron hating, he is great ! Lebron is a man though the CAVs Iman and JR been great players on this run
Both QUIT and Knickerbockers, JR got Mike Woodson Fired Prior to Phil Jackson hiring (yea yea DJ wanted woodson out my bag!)
ALL began with JR instagram dumping the Knickerbocker org., NY could have dealth both Iman and Smith to Utah or Minny, Philly 76ers.
Both ex knicks got privy to play with LEBRON. *What Ingrates !

The REAL JR Smith is standing up here & last night!
Good for em' BAD game & all...

CAVs must go down. DJ claims always you dont win with players like JR Smith on your Squad
Whom always seize opportunity to put "ME" thing before the "WE" Or TEAM Thang!

Can I get an AMEN ?
amen

LOL
Heeee-Haaaaaaaaaaaawwwww! Love it ....
