Phil got fined once for talking about Russell.

I think the Knicks board would go something like this:

1) Towns - they know they have no chance
2) Okafor - they likely have no chance but would draft him in a heart beat
3) Russell - they likely have no chance but would draft him in a heart beat
4) WCS / Winslow - I bet different guys are split on these two
5) Kaminsky
6) Payne
7) Lyles
8) maybe Mudiay? though he might be falling even farther

i said i dont see mudiay as a top 5... but more like a top 10 if that.
that payne guy could even get drafted ahead of him.

Would be surprised if they took Porzingis- I would expect them to trade down, but who knows with that team. They really need a PG. Any free agents fit the role?

I think LA will take Russell, especially after the OK4 workout.

Obviously LA saw a lot more than we were allowed to see, though.

If Russell shines in his own workout, I think they just might take him.

The Knicks say they have liked everyone except WCS--thus they love WCS.

you think that they are that dumb as to be so transparent and silly to only use one level of reverse psychology?

Safe to say that none of us know what Phil wants.

Big butts on offense, defensive bigs, penetrators the key to the 3...and a complete blackout on work outs- who knows what he is actually thinking.

Nope Ive known for 3 months.

You don't 'know' you are guessing- you've already guaranteed we're trading the pick for Durant and that we're drafting WCS- come on man! Why do you have to pretend your panic fuel guesses are facts

No way in hell 76ers take Porzingis.

Also, I'm going to step up and say it: I'm no longer a big fan of D'Angelo Russell- I don't like the way he comes across in interviews, and I think people are projecting Steph Curry onto him.

If Russell or Okafor slips to the Knicks we should all gather in a prayer circle to thank the basketball gods.

Sam Hinkie has traded away, in a short period of time

Jrue Holiday, a young All Star point guard
Michael Carter Williams, a young cost controlled Rookie Of The Year with actual plus defensive pedigree
Elfrid Payton, the general consensus best overall "Contribute Now" point guard in last year's draft.

What Hinkie does seem to do is arm other teams with starting point guards.

I just don't see any way in hell that Hinkie takes Mundiay at the 3 spot. It costs him nothing to say nice things about Mundiay on the off chance some insane team like the Kings and Knicks want to trade up for Mundiay.

Philly will be happy to take any of the big three who drops to them ( Towns, Okafor and Russell) They aren't taking Porzingas and they aren't taking Mundiay.

Don't see them taking OK4 unless they have some kind of trade planned. How do you satisfy Noel, Embiid, and OK4 in the post. Makes no sense unless you have a trade in mind for Embiid.

Porzingis gives them someone who can shoot from 3 and at 7'+ and only 19, has more upside than many in this draft. UK posters might be missing the boat on him, and you are talking more than simple potential- he has already shown some skill against good competition.

Hinkie does seem to have an issue with PGs, though- not sure I understand where he is going with the team, but he's scouted Porzingis.

Can say what he will do because of his track record if Russell is not there, and I don't think he really wants Mudiay.

I guess the Knicks would just have to settle for D'Angelo Russell in that scenario. Sigh.

Damn...we are screwed if Philly takes Porzingis.....he's the perfect big man for the trangle offense. At only 19, he can pretty much do everything on offense (drive and shoot), plus he's a weak side defender like WCS. Sixer fans would boo....until mid season when he becomes their best player. I guess we have to take whoever falls.....It's like we are the garbage team. Taking everybody's trash. Russell or Mudiay? mmmmmm....touch decision. Russell is a weak defender and Mudiay is a weak offender.

How about passing on Russell and/or Ok4 and take Kaminsky.

I would take that mock with a big pinch of salt as Porzingis hasn't done ANY workouts yet, and will only do one, open to all teams in Las Vegas on Friday. He's doing interviews, but won't be doing individual team workouts.

Kristaps Porzingis will conduct just one workout before the NBA Draft, which will come on Friday in Las Vegas for NBA teams.

Porzingis will fly to interview for a few teams, but this workout will likely determine his draft stock.

The Philadelphia 76ers will consider him at No. 3, while the Orlando Magic at No. 5 are also an option.

Porzingis' floor will likely be the Sacramento Kings at No. 6 or the Denver Nuggets at No. 7.

Hope we get to see it on video, and hope it shows more things than the Towns "workout" video.

DraftExpress is pretty active scouting overseas prospects. He's been well scouted overseas, this year and last, since he was initially coming out last year. I will continue to say that guys around here are sleeping on him big time.

Don't like the idea that he is not doing individual workouts like Towns, but his season did end not too long ago, I think- he has not had the luxury that many college players have had in terms of resting and working out.

Has anyone heard anything from Hezonja? His agent might need to be fired. Is he still in competition overseas at this point?

That would be fine by me.

We could either keep him or trade him for an absolute kings ransom. as in high pick flip with 2-3 additional 1's and a player. Nothing less. And if no one pays up keep him.

I've been high on him from the beginning so i'm not surprised by this at all.

Phil already has his board filled out to know who he will take in every scenario.

If I think the Knicks will pick him why does that means I like him? The Knicks have done fd up moves for 15 years running. He will be a decent player but not above decent.
