It's still a bit early to be snickering at the Knicks don't you think? Gasol isn't yet on the Spurs and we have drafted or signed any Free Agents. So what's the point of kicking dirt on the rebuilding process? I could understand the criticism if Phil wasn't clearly trying to improve the franchise from top to bottom, but he is. We're at the very beginning of this process and the Spurs are almost 2 decades into their process.
Early? The Knicks have been snicker-worthy for TWO DECADES! Since 1999. That's almost since APARTHEID! Since before Google existed, Since before Mudiay WAS FREAKING BORN!
Even broken clocks are right twice a day, you haven't been right about the Knicks being good since you uploaded your opinion on a 1200 baud modem through America Online
I have no desire to over-examine your rant, but you made many mistakes which make me question the validity of your original point.
Because you were so adamant in making this point and used your caps, I have to point out that Mudiay was born March 5, 1996, and was therefore alive and well in 1999.
Apartheid ended in the mid-1990s, 1994 is a suggested date, so you have to define the concept of "almost" as it is applied to the fixed period of years you are examining, which is actually 16 years. If you agree that Apartheid ended in 1994, 5 years before 1999, you are talking about an amount of time-5 years- that is a whopping 31% of your 16 year total. I'm not sure you can use the word "almost" when using a 16 year span as your frame of reference and a there is a 5 year, or 31%, distance between the 2 points you are comparing.
Google existed prior to 1999, by the way,
, so you are wrong about that too.
A stopped clock, not a broken one, is right twice a day. A "broken" clock might be too fast or too slow and actually be correct more than twice a day.
I love a well-crafted insult-post, but making your case with blatantly false hyperbole just does not work in a forum where metrics and statistics are so important.
I know that you'll do better next time, slugger.
