I disagree. I think Minnesota is one of the few franchises that makes NY look appealing. Nearly every good player has tried to force their way off that club. It's not just the city. It's the management as well.

My hope is that they actually prefer a starphuck with Melo, so we can get OK4 or Towns or Russell. Once Kobe retires, they are going to be a lower revenue team until they are relevant again. Clippers are ascendant in LA.

If Buss wants to recapture audience share (and media attention) Melo would get that done in spades, and would instantly make LA competitive in the West.

If NY is going rebuild, why would he want any part of that? Does Melo think Mudiay/Winslow + Monroe will get anything done for him? If so, he's delusional, at least until Mudiay becomes a star (i.e., 5 years or more).

I would expect that both Towns and OK4 will have some less than stellar workouts for Minny in an attempt to control their own draft fate.
