Nazr turns 27 in Sept....& i wasn't implying he'd turn into an Allstar C someday...only that i think he still has room to improve & he will be a valuable trade commodity next season if he has a good year.

yeah I know what you're saying. I'm hoping for that too, but then again I was also hoping that Shandon Anderson and Howard Eisely would improve their trade value but they did worst

dude, Shandon & Eisley were signed to longterm deals at way more than their market value...Nazr is signed at a reasonable contract & he showed some good things last year as a starter...his defensive weaknesses are an issue, but he will have good trade value come next season as long as he stays healthy this year & puts up comparable numbers.

yeah maybe some team will be fooled into looking at his stats the same way I did and think..."Gee if he plays 20 more minutes a game he'll average 15pts, 11 rebs! Instead they'll find out that he can only play 15-20min per game because of foul trouble

Reality sucks.

Fantasy ball is so much easier!

Doleac is worth more than min exemption.

Foyle contract is a joke!

i don't know about that one. just b/c he can hit a 12 foot jumpshot doesn't mean he deserves more than 1.5 mil. secondly, he has to be on the right team to do it. look at him before marbury and then after. two different type of players. doleac is exactly what the LLE is for.

Damn, if Foyle (no game) can get a contract worth 8 mil, certainly Doleac is worthy of at least the MLE with his nice mid-range jump shot. :)

I think Doleac progressed last season-- he came into the season buff and prepared-- and showed that he could at least be a bigger, poor man's version of KT.

I think a Doleac/Mohammed center tandem would be very servicable given the state of the NBA, assuming Mutombo is no longer in the Knicks' plans.

However yeah, he's probably worth a little more than the LLE... but it's his right to do whatever it takes to get the best deal possible for himself.

I'm not a big Doleac fan and I don't think he's worth more than the LLE. He's a big-time stiff, IMO. Too slow to rebound or defend against anyone w/ decent post moves. Doesn't have a good nose for the ball. Plenty of big stiffs who can shoot a little, but I'd rather go smaller and have someone who's got some versatility.

Think KT does better against most all centers than Doledrums, so I'd rather go w/ him or Nazr or Motumbo.
