it's not possible. lowest 2nd can fall to is 5th.

only the top three picks are determined by ping pong balls, after top three picks it is purely based on record.

finishing with the worst record and winding up with picks 2 or 3 would be tolerable. You just chalk it up to the luck of the draw at that point.

My guess is emotions will be extremely high if we don't get a top pick and draft another bust. You can bank on it

It's a lot of luck, man. What if they picked no.1 overall and Okafor was a bust? Or Towns was a bust?

What can you do - you look back at a lot of drafts and the best player in the draft is rarely taken no.1 overall.

Would you rather have Derrick Rose (no.1 overall) or Russell Westbrook (no.4 overall) at this point?

Would you rather have Anthony Bennett (no.1 overall) or Victor Oladipo (no.2 overall)?

Would you rather have Greg Oden (no.1 overall) or Mike Conley (no.4 overall)?

Would you rather have Andrea Bargnani (no.1 overall) or... sorry, I just puked on my keyboard.

Btw I never been a fan of Gallinari, the inclusion of Mozgov last minute is what unnerved me. Gallinari has been playing great. If he can stay healthy he can definitely be a player.

Folks around here would have been arguing over Rose, Beasley, or maybe even Mayo if we had the #1 pick 2008, and I seem to recall that 2008 was considered a fairly good draft crop before the draft.

I'm also pissed off and frustrated that we are putting ourselves into a potential draft situation that almost seems unfair given the course of this season and what we, as fans, have been put through, but there seems to be no guarantee that a top 3 pick gives us a franchise quality player.

You know there is so much Bull Crap tossed at Fisher and to be honest all I see is a group of players that are still playing hard for him. They have shown that they really do understand the system and what he wants them to do. The new culture is being established even now. They actually have been defending well and giving max effort. That is worth a heck of a lot more than people are giving him credit for. A lot of these players will be back next year and they already have the right mental approach to the game that they'll need when the roster is upgraded next year.

Galloway has been developing nicely. Larkin has grown. Even THJ, Acy and Early have shown signs of life. Those are important factors since we need young cheap players who we know can thrive in this system. It's unfortunate that it cost us a higher lottery position but the team playing better isn't completely a bad thing. I would've accepted a close loss, but the Hawks underestimated the Knicks and they lost.

On top of all that we just don't know what pick we'll get. Nothing is guaranteed.
