Don't act like Shump and Smith. Didn't play lottery ball they are the main reason the Knicks are playing Lottery ball. They weren't able to grasp the concepts of triangle and these new guys are able to do so quicker.

Care to compare Cleveland's record after the trade to it's record before the trade...

As a Knicks fan it pisses me off that JR said he partied too much in ny to be a good player. Not sure what happens with Shump but he wasn't making it in ny. The way those guys behaved and played in ny is on them. The team took back much less talented guys and got better.

You think everybody parties like JR in NY? JR said he is playing better because he isn't able to party. He said it. JR!! Desert Thirst!

I don't know but he makes an easy scapegoat..I think we are being naive to think that all these guys don't party...

If your owner have no Mozgov (which translates from Russian as "brains") you get what you see.
And now what you see is what you get.
Sometimes convergence is slow but sooner or later everyone get what he deserves.
And Dolan and MSG organization deserve this Knicks team 100%.
They create sh..t and now they have to eat it.
Hopefully Dolan and Co will fed up from this sh..t strong enough to not get close to bbal for the rest of their lives.

I miss Moz. But Cleveland still overspent for him. The other 2 im happy to see them go. Good luck to Shump but he's just not that good, even as a role player.

They desperately needed a center though. They've gone 30-7 in their last 37 and probably feel they can contend for a ring. They couldn't just throw a whole year away.

Not crying over spilled milk, but I don't think anyone is really shocked at how well JR is playing. He is above his averages lately due to playing with some great players there.
But I just wonder if Phil could have gotten more, as I don't think Cleveland is shocked either.

Regarding Shump, I haven't seen him play, but I guess they got their defender on the perimeter or ?

Funnily enough, we are really gonna need an off the bench guy like JR. Hopefully one of the new guys can be a nice 6th man, Ledo maybe...

I had no idea Mozgov means "brains" — surnames are amazing!

Got to finally watch some NBA on ABC Sunday. One of the announcers for the Rockets-Thunder game said "...formerly with the Knicks... that's something we've keep saying these days!" referring to how our cast-offs fill up the rosters of other clubs.

The Bulls-Cavs game had JR making circus shots, Ariza slashing makin' buckets, Mosgov getting his dunk on, JVG, Mark Jackson and Breen calling the game... the Knicks must be the favorite club of the Basketball Gods because the Children of MSG are flung far and wide across their League.

I watched some of the Bulls/Cavs game as well. Interesting to watch JR's reaction to hitting that half court fall away jumper. He acted like it was just another day at the office. If he was still in NY,JR probably would have done a victory lap. JR is not just putting up better numbers, he is keeping his ego in check.

Yea, and that's why the kvetching over Once-a-Knicks should be limited. I get the value part of the equation, but who knows how things would have gone if he stayed. He is a NYC-area product with "NEW YORK" on his chest, then get sold for a bag of rice and has the much-humbler "CLEVELAND" across his chest. His current level of play is probably in part to him reining in some of his bad habits, and being around LeBron I'm sure helps a heap.

Those guys are playing well because of the roles they are in. They are what good teams call "depth". They arent asked to do more than what they can, unlike here.
