Attempting to play in a playoff match when you are 85% healthy is a good start

Not sure what I would have done if I had a risk to further injury and thus affect my chance at my one big payday.

I wish he played though

As a Knick fan, I was upset but I understood.

I just wanted to remind the LinLovers of this. Their hero didn't care about winning, teamwork or his legacy. He was about the money. Like every other athlete.

Which is fine. Just don't say he was unique and not about the money. His actions prior to getting his new contract were all business motivated.

I wonder what Lin gets this offseason. He's got some value for sure. My guess is a MLE type deal for 2 guarenteed years and a TO at the end. Like 2 years $12mm ($6mm per) and a 3rd year TO. He's played better in the 2nd half, which isnt saying much.

It will be interesting to see what the market is for him. I think he had a couple of good games and then he was a dnp coaches decision last night.

That article didn't change what I think about Lin . . . he should flourish, injuries aside, in the right system and is certainly a solid bench player and perhaps a starter on the right team. I'm not sure he _has_ to start to be productive but, yes, he needs to be in a system that utilizes his skills. I suspect he's somewhat undervalued right now by people who haven't played close attention to Scott and the Lakers this year. Some smart GM will snatch him soon enough. If Livingston hadn't worked out at GS, I could have seen them offering Lin a reasonable contract. Toronto needs a back PG/SG next year, I can seem him landing there.

"YOU DEFINE TOUGHNESS BY HOW MUCH YOU'RE WILLING TO PUT ON THE LINE WHEN MONEY IS THE MAIN CONCERN."

Explaining away his playoff non-appearance by "what you and I would have done" is pure misdirectional bs. He remains a two week wonder who was owned badly several times once the smoke cleared. And then got paid handsomely. And then got outplayed by the immortals Patrick Beverly and Toney Douglass.

End of story.

Boo hoo, Jeremy needs MikeyD and the right system, or he's "mediocre". Surprise, surprise...

Jesus H. Christ, doesn't anyone have a story about Vanilla Ice we can read?

Well, well...

(CNN)—Out on bail, rapper Vanilla Ice said the burglary and grand theft charges he's facing are a misunderstanding.

"It's just blown out of proportion," the rapper, whose real name is Robert Van Winkle, told CNN Affiliate WPBF. "I wish you guys would focus on the good things I've done."

Van Winkle spoke to WPBF after his release from the Palm Beach County Jail on a $6,000 bond Wednesday.

The Lantana Police Department said the robbery occurred sometime between December and February in a $1 million home that was going through foreclosure. Items stolen include a pool heater and furniture.

Van Winkle is working next door, renovating another home.

"During the investigation, it was determined Robert Matthew Van Winkle played a role in the burglary and theft," police said. "A search warrant was obtained and executed in unincorporated Palm Beach County in which several of the stolen items were recovered at a residence under the care and control of Robert Van Winkle."

The stolen property has "since been returned to its rightful owner."

Vanilla Ice stars on the show "The Vanilla Ice Project" for the DIY Network. On the show, he renovates and then sells houses.

So, was the incident part of the show?

"I wish it was," he told WPBF. "There's nothing fun about this. I wish everybody all the best, and maybe some of the good news will travel this fast in the future."

DIY issued the following: "DIY Network has been made aware of this situation and is currently looking into the matter."

Don't think much of Lin. He had a great few weeks with the Knicks, but hasn't come close to replicating that success elsewhere. Lin admits that his game has not progressed nearly as far as he would like, but he still never seems to pass up an opportunity to complain about being disrespected and underappreciated as a basketball player because of his ethnicity.

Im sure that Lin did have to deal with some closed minded people to make it in this league, but at this point in his career, its about Lin's game and nothing else.
