The mashed potato-like (no gravy) posts by StraightShot smack of corporate propaganda instead of informed opinion.

Just once, something of substance would be nice.

I've been using that word, "organic," for years on P&T about everyone from Iman Shumpert and Danilo Gallinari to Toney Douglas and Landry Fields. I've long dreamed of the Knicks actually developing a centerpiece - finding a gem, then polishing it into a crown jewel instead of pawning it off for something else prefabricated."

I read the article--95% of Knick fans want nothing to do with trading this pick. I think management better listen to the fans this time--or they will soon find empty seats.

Most real Knick fans can't afford seats at MSG. I remember the first game I went to during the 2003-2004 season, a guy turned around to my group and asked "so when did we sign Dikembe Mutombo?", the signature move of that offseason....in February of that season. Words can not express the contempt I had for him at that moment....

Your post sounds like an infomercial. Very general with no individual thought. Can you elaborate on how....who....when

It reads like a cut and paste from the Knicks official site.

I love the gimmick, it sounds so sincere! Nice sig too! Maybe StraightShot is Scorebot with some... reprogramming...

From what I have read 95% of New Yorkers want to keep and build a team with a high pick. 95% actually is a higher than a demand--its a scream for Jim Dolan to STFU and sit down and make the best pick for the Knicks fans going 4ward.

If they trade this pick, I might start following hockey. Or soccer.

You know I gonna spin wit it

Can anyone really imagine that Phil would draft OK4 or Towns and then just trade them for who knows what? Even an injured KD would make little sense. Phil wouldn't need to do that just to put a good team together this summer. He'd lose all the benefits of a draft picks cap situation as well. Only way he trades the pick is to a team like Philly for 2 of their 1st rd picks.

Speaking of which, where is Scorebot these days? Hasn't posted in the last few gamethreads I've looked at.

How shall I put this? Scorebot has problems. They are sorting it out at a "facility" for the moment.

That's actually the most optimistic scenario I've heard for next season. Stepford Scorebot, telling me only what I want to hear...

I thought the Knicks were making a strong statement in favor of healthy, non-pesticide eating and against the incorporation of GMO based foods into our diets, when I saw the title chosen for this topic.

WaltLongmire - you nailed it. A healthy franchise has a core of three players who we fans cheered for on draft night the moment the held up a New York jersey to their chest. Maciej Lampe was beloved, just for his emotion at being drafted by the Knicks. The gallery went wild and he saluted them. A bond was formed.

GMO based free agents have never connected with our hearts. Spree was fun while it lasted, then it went sour and he returned in a profanity-laden replay in The Garden. Marcus Camby saluted his homeys in Hartford and made us smile. Then he was gone too. That is no way to end a relationship.

I miss heart and soul players.
