The prospects of adding Monroe & Butler make me moist.

He is a 24yr old developing big man

Monroe numbers doesn't translate to his team making the playoffs with a decent supporting cast..

Yeah but you don't give a max contract to the 38th best player!

WHAT? Out of 480 players in the League you think being 38th on the list is a bad thing? You're not going to be able to get every top guy you want. His max is lower than Gasol's max and he's younger and still has upside. Of course there are other players but it's hard to get those players from their current teams so naturally you are going to have to go down your list and if you have a price set for that player you try to sign him for that amount. I don't know what the Knicks Value on Monroe is, but he is going to be considered.

IMO what you hope to do is grab as many of the top players on this list as you can. They have a greater value and impact and should help to improve the team. The younger players like Butler are worth going hard after.

WHen has he had a decent supporting cast? I don't really like Monroe but I'll at least stick up for him on that.

Well that's total win shares, which is confounded with playing time. What's his WS48 ranking?

Which would be shorter and cheaper? I think they'll both command a lot of money

Milsap will definitely be shorter and cheaper.

I would say maybe 3-4 @ 10-12 per?

You sure about that? He's a repeat all-star and he's on the top team in the conference. The contract you're stating would be a gift for us. I think he'll get closer to 4 years, 60 mil.

I hope ATl is thinking like mre. Please offer Paul that deal as a final firm offer. I think Millsap is going for Gasol/Dragic type money. He knows this is his last chance for a big pay day. Eventhough it gives the Knicks a better chance if ATL shorted Millsap like that I think the spurs would come into play depending on what Duncan and Ginobli does. I could see the spurs swooping in on Gasol and/or Millsap.

Greg Monroe is mentioned because he's likely one of the gettable FA's at the top of the list. He's still young and has upside.

Yeah but you don't give a max contract to the 38th best player!

So does that mean you would not max out Kawhi Leonard? I know you wouldn't use just one stat.

No doubt about it Melo, Monroe, and towns would be great going forward. I would like Love or Monroe. They are top 2 realistic options. Shved and Galloway are great pieces moving forward as well. Hopefully we can add a vet SG like Danny green or afflalo to bring some leadership. Would be a nice recovery moving forward from the mess we have now.

I think the smiley means you're joking but I'd pay more attention to the WS48 than total WS.

WHen has he had a decent supporting cast? I don't really like Monroe but I'll at least stick up for him on that.

Drummond, Jennings, Meeks, JSmooth..They should have been a playoff team..

No, no they shouldn't. That's a terrible cast of non-shooters.

Nope best players available. I can find synergy around them. By the way Kanter and okafor both had 4 blocked shots each today.
