He is proving a lot of people wrong including me - I am not/was not a big Westbrook fan.

Was KD holding him back?

Is this just a DRose short term explosion?

What changed (and please don't tell me Enes Kanter)?

Could he be on the Juice Maybe he was really unhappy with KD winning the MVP and having to play second fiddle?

This is gonna be a fun Soap Opera down in OKC.

I've always liked Westbrook, but I always think OKC are better with KD as the alpha dog, and Westbrook taking a step back. He's a great player, but I'm not sure I'd like him dominating the ball as much as he has been in this impressive streak. It's been exciting to watch though!

do you think that wetbrook is going to want to take a back seat after this? May see some in fighting when / if he comes back.

Of course that OKC is better with one of the top 3 players in the NBA but with this be a really smart sell crazy high opportunity?

Trading Westbrook now would be selling high. Trading Durant would be selling at an all time low.

I would not trade Durant now ... of course not. He has to come back and show that he could play.

Trading Westbrook now would definitely be selling extremely high.

OK - I misunderstood

they both need the ball in their hands too much to co-exist successfully. they both have high usage rates, but westbrook's is absurd this season. yes his assist rate is also high, but he is not playing a winning brand of team basketball. lastly, westbrook is below standard for TS%, a very unconvincing and underwhelming 54%. that alone in combination with a 38% usage rate spells doom for his team.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Sell high??..Isn't the goal a Championship?...With Durant you can compete ..Without Durant you can't compete..

what if they think that he will leave? What if they can get a huge return for him?

You seem to be certain that he is staying. I'm not.

If you trade him you will never get the same value in return..Its a tough thing the get players in the prime playing at Champioship level all at the same time..Why would anyone mess with that.. People trade picks to get in that position..

what if he wants to leave? You keep ignoring that question and stating that they are better with him.

How do u know he wants to leave??..Right now its media speculation..If he tells you he wants to leave then yes trade him..If not, try to win a Championship..With a healthy Westbrook and Durant they are the best in the West..What else is there??..Who gives a rats arse about picks at that point..U get picks and pray the become Westbrook and Durant which is once a generation, maybe..

Well ... they will probably get a feeling if he wants to stay or leave and if him and westbrook can coexist.

My gut tells me that they will be split up ... You obviously think that they won't be.

Durant was MVP last year..He is still better than Westbrook minus the injury..U need three to four good guys to win a Chip..Only crazy Knick fans think you can do it alone..

Did I say that one can do it alone?

I would have traded Melo last year ... does that mean that I don't think that we need great players?

So then why would you want to move KD in his prime?

And ... now that they have Kanter, who needs KD?

lol ... Briggs says that he is the new franchise ...

I think that KD will want out. And, I have a hard time seeing Westbrook and KD successfully sharing the ball.

I think Kanter is the fall back if Durant wants out...But to me Durant is like LeBron..He is un-tradable..You just have to wait until he decides or says he wants to leave..But every team wants to have the pieces that OKC have..They have the ingredients for a Championship team..They are/were hit by the injury bug and the coach isn't all that good..

Phil Jackson would be the perfect coach for OKC..POP and Doc are good coaches..

I think that you trade KD if you think that he will leave ... can't walk away empty handed.

You would think that have all the ingredients but I think they need a floor leader who can really control that team and distribute the ball correctly.

Something just does not seem right with Westbrook and Durant with Westbrook needing to shoot so much.

KD also desperately needs a post game so he does not get man handled by Tony Allen's. He needs it to put him over the top (just like Lebron did).

Brooks probably needs to have a good playoffs to save his job. I can't imagine that he keeps his job if not.

Its definitely ok for a PG but when he comes back to earth, he still desperately needs to become a better 3 point shooter.

Don't care for either though they have both been putting up crazy numbers.

Sorry...misunderstood your Kanter question in the other thread..

Have to see him in the playoffs...He is putting up good numbers..I want to see why...I also want to see how it impacts the team..Is he drawing defenders??..Does his game make it easier for others to score??..Does he also show up in the playoffs...Is he there just for a check???etc..

Np.

Have the same question about Kanter. Need to see how he finishes and watch him more.

Strange when a guy changes teams and all of the sudden is a different player. Who is the real Kanter??

in the playoffs that already <meh> TS is sure to go down at least 2 percentage points, probably closer to 4 percentage points. you can't have a guy shooting 50-52TS% in the playoffs. it is rare that a player's efficiency increases in the playoffs.
