As much as people knock philly, they seem to be in a prime position with their multi year rebuild.

They are stacked with picks, and have some good young players.

I think that they are in much better shape than we are, and statistically, have a much better chance and being a really good team in 3 years than we do.

Not a hater ... just being a realist.

Who knows. They have more picks and cap space but who knows if they do a good job at drafting or identifying FA talent. Noel seems like a potential great defender who needs to really improve his offense against teams not named the Knicks. Embiid was Towns plus but is he Sam Bowie? I hope not. We'll have to wait and see.

You say the same old thing 100 times. Every team will be getting tv revenue and if you take 2 minutes to read the cba you have to spend the cash you get.Ny has no advantage if we look back at all of the luxuty taxes we paid how many wins did it produce?.

Briggs...please humor me..When was the last time a major FA signed with Utah, Sac, NO, Milwaukee, Philly, etc..Oh please all knowing one...School me..

We wish we were utah milwaukee new orleans right now. We have one major free agent in 15 years who played 1 good year for us what the he k r u talking about

And how many playoffs games have these teams been in the last 5 years..Zero..Their stars will get frustrated and want to leave because they can't improve.

Playoff games in the last 5 years:

Utah - 14 Playoff games
Sacramento - 0 Playoff games
New Orleans - 6 Playoff games
Milwaukee - 11 Playoff games
Philly - 18 Playoff games
Knicks - 19 Playoff games

It's Philly without question. If we **** up this Summer at all, either by drafting the wrong player, making a bad trade, or signing the wrong free agent to a multiyear deal, we're basically ****ed going forward. We've given ourselves one shot at improving and it's not a very good one.

Philly has multiple chances to improve and is in a much better position than us going forward. In fact, I'm not sure there's a team in the league that's in a worse position than us... except Brooklyn.

Philly reminds me of the Rockets when Morey was stacking chips. i didnt like it because it was taking too long, but I did like that they were competitive and never tanked to get where they are, which is the primary difference in those two and the Knicks.

Philly is in better shape imo but they need someone to translate those assets into some real players to build on. The Knicks cant be in better shape when they dont have anything to actually build on yet.

We are in much better shape then Philly IMO. With Phill at the helm, we at least have a direction. We have a borderline superstar in Carmelo who we can count on to shoulder the team, and we have cap space and a lottery pick we can use to assemble a team that can possibly compete for a championship in the near future.
Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

No one there has done this as of yet. Hinkie keeps resetting and reloading. Draft night should be interesting. They have 7 picks in this draft.

which reset are you referring to MCW?

We should learn how to make trades like that and sell very high instead of selling our players at the flea market.

That was a move that many GM's will be learning from for many years, it was brilliant and gutsy!

this is a fun look at his moves up to December so it doesn't have the MCW trade.

Right now being objective i would say philly. It depends on who we draft and sign in free agency. Phil also needs to figure out a way to get some first round picks.

No need it's too easy. Undying love for Phil influenced those votes. Although Phil has the executive experience of a water boy.

This is the picks that they have for 2015:

1st round pick - 76ers (unless it falls outside of the lottery)
1st round pick - Heat (unless it falls in top 10)
1st round pick - Lakers (unless it falls in the top 5)
1st round pick - Thunder (unless it falls in top 18)
2nd round pick - Denver or Minnesota (whichever is the worse)
2nd round pick - Warriors
2nd round pick - Rockets
2nd round pick - Pelicans
2nd round pick - Magic

This is on top of Noel, Embiid and some of their other shveds.

Yeah ... we got those sixers right where we want them.

so here is what phil is thinking ....
