Thats why I dont argue with people. And to go back that was a post of me saying Blake Griffin was the next Karl Malone. At the time most people wanted to take Ricky Rubio #1 and thought Blake was "undersized"

He's had a pretty good career so far but he's far from the next Karl Malone.

and Briggs tried to prove his point by bumping a thread where he argued that Tyreke Evans should be the number 2 pick of the draft!

Ehhh? He bumped at herald about Blake griffin.

I can't remember where I put my keys. Forget about some post from the past.

am i being quoted and is the quote revealing how dumb i am?

I think when hou say ok4 scks u can look back jn a couple of years and look pretty stupid. I haven't seen 1 post from you other than melo stinks- can you tell us all whod you like in the draft lets say5-6pciks deep in tiers say 2-10-20-30-40and in free agen y to improve the knicks.

i do not think okafor sucks as a college player but i am trying to project success on him as a pro and i just don't see the high ceiling for all the hype he gets now. my concerns for him, selfishly as a knicks fan, are his conditioning, his low release point, and his defensive ability. all these things need to be addressed because the nba is far more grueling, the players are taller and bigger.

is there anything wrong with what i said, or inaccurate?

as to who my top guys are, right now i have to go with towns and cauly-stein. but that said, my intent is to follow the ncaa tourney much more closely this season than in the past, at least by the round of 16. by then we can revisit this subject.

agreed?

That's cool. The only point I was bringing out is its essy to say what's wrong or who stinks and a whole different deal to rectify

By the way ill go as far as go say I'd steer clear of willie stein in the draft. I tend to value offense over defensive high end skills in the nba. I don't think over 3 years stein has devloped much more than being an opportunity player on offense with no jumpshot and or posting skills. To make a will stein work you need guys who can score. Hes a tim mosgov ty chandler pote8ntially valuable as a 5th guy

as far as what's wrong with towns i can't say much, although i wonder about his lower body-- those legs are long and gangly and i hope he doesn't fall into the trap of building up his upper body which could end up making him top heavy which in turn will lead to knee problems and foot problems.

obviously cauly-stein is limited offensively but is going to be an opportunist as you say. he has an nba-ready body, long, lean, cat-like, and quick. you can't teach natural gifts and athleticism like that. i think there is a place in a starting lineup for players like him in today's nba, as most contenders do in fact have guys who can score. that does not include the knicks but we are talking about the top players in the ncaa, nit just the ones who would fit on the knicks.

one last thing: assuming the triangle remains the framework, i will be looking at the passing skills and court vision of okafor and towns very closely.

EDIT: it is even more crucial that we get a passing big man than a backcourt player in my opinion, because in the triangle offense melo anthiny will need a player one position "up" from him to work with than in a more conventional, guard run offense... not to mention defensive superiority.

Towns and ok4 are outstanding passing big men.

It's a blessing for the triangle we really suck this year and actually have out pick

Look at his original posting in the thread.
You're right he bumped at the point about Blake Griffin, but this is a bad thread for him to try to use for bragging points. At the end of the day, you don't go bragging to your boss about making a good sale at noon on a day when you broke everything in the store at 1PM.

Bonn Tyrke Evans had one of the best rookie seasons of all time for a guard. He hurt his leg and hasnt been able to get back up to that level but hes still a really good player. Do you think we will draft a player who will avg 20-6-6 in their first year? You think Mudiay can do it--he will be the same age as Tyreke coming in.

3 of 4 Years later, Michael Carter Williams almost matched him, so he must have also had one of the all time rookie seasons for a guard.

Lots of future hall of famers pop up in the BRIGGS catalogue.
