all stats no impact? no such thing ... and makes no sense.
I would pass on love ... too expensive and he certainly raised alarms this year.
pads his rebounding stats, doesnt make guys better, zero impact on defense. He's a good ball mover, does a decent job getting to the line. He's a nice #3 player. He's not nearly as good as Bosh who is clearly a #2 player. He doesnt take over games, gets hurt all the time also...empty stats.. there sure is such a thing. Remember David Lee's last season before he got paid? 20/12 and shot 55% and thats better than most seasons Love has had.
Who's better? Lee or Love?? Funny how most universally accept Love as a max guy but Lee isnt even close.
Love is better than Lee. I don't know if I would pay him the max though.
Minny went from a 40 win team (in the west) to a 14 win team.
His defense is definitely not good.
He is one of the best rebounders in the game (pad or not ... how do you decide what rebounds are pad boards?)
He is extremely efficient and is a stretch 4 which opens up the floor in a big way.
He is also a very good passer when asked to facilitate. This year he is just a catch and shoot decoy.
Who in minny did you want him to make (even) better? Should that team have gone to the playoffs?
so here is what phil is thinking ....
