Briggs there are new divisions, Washington, Orlando, and Miami are all in the southeast.

Atlantic: NY, Philly, Toronto, NJ, and Boston.

That is a very weak division....

personally i would make a conservative prediction of a 43-39 type record for the Knicks next year...if Allan stays healthy, i can easily see them winning at least 45-47 games.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

I tend to agree with you TMS...I think they will go over .500 this year with the potential to win 45 games, but not 50...

I said 50 as the best case scenario (e.g., if they stay healthy). From the point when Isiah took over (despite being unhealthy), they won games at a 45 win pace

Rumor has it the Nets will buy out Rodney Rodgers and Lucious Harris (both expiring contrats totaling more than $5 million) to make an attempt at keeping both Kidd and KMart.

If they lose Kidd or KMart and those 2, I don't even think they're a playoff team. Clearly their window has passed, it's time for the Knicks to take the torch in the Atlantic.

If the Knicks sign Crawford (possible according to the Chicago Tribune) and have continued progress from Sweetney, the Knicks will win 46-50 games (they were on pace to win 45 last year once Isiah took over). If the Nets lose Kidd/Kmart, Harris, and Rodgers, I can't imagine them doing anything more than a .500 season.

I like you sense of humor so much bigsmooth !

but hell yeah, we are much better than most of people agree to say.

health, nothing else, will set our pace.

talent and depth wise, we're much better than half of the teams in this league.

honnestly speaking, we need spirit heart and a direction. seems that IT is working on that. keep fingers crossed, it will be an interesting season as tha balance between east and west is steadily changing.

Sounds reasonable.

Depth wise, we're better than 80% of the teams. Very few teams can bring players like Penny, Frank, Sweetney off the bench while putting a player as dependable as Harrington on the IR

So much depends on houston's health.

like him or not, with him healty we'd be a very dangerous team.

Its hard to project ahead. Many assumptions are that teams will stay as they are and we get better.

Toronto gets better with bosch maturing and moving to forward, not center. celts will start slow, but gain. BOth have new coaches. Everybody has new coach.

Philly, washington, and Miami all improve and are improving.

43-45 wins sounds about right. winning a division is not that important as how you finish the year.

Our kids showed a lot down the stretch getting in the playoffs with an injured roster. That kind of unity is good. Nets were playoff tested and it showed.

Im not worried about any other team but ours and houstans health.

i think we should stop messing with the chemsitry and start to assess what we really have in hands. Only a few tweaking, we should see our team really imporve from within.

I state it again, we're better than what people think.
