Hinkie is very much a clone of Morey- zero people skills and an absolute a**hole, which will alienate players and GMs and put them off dealing with them in the future. Had they not picked up Robinson, the rest of the players on the Sixers would have gotten that $3mil shortfall divided up between them- a nice little bonus for them. Instead Hinkie picks up a player who doesn't want to be there, they have no interest in either- thus screwing the Nets, Thomas Robinson and the entire Sixer roster.
The biggest difference I have seen to date with Morey and Hinkie is that Morey will collect assets but then move them for star players. Hinkie seems to move assets to collect more assets. Not sure when/how his method turns the Sixers into a winner. They certainly have a stockpile of picks and young players. It will be interesting to see if Hinkie takes the plunge and goes after an established vet star at some point.
