I mean he's a skilled (almost) 7 footer who may not be a star but is very good. People need to stop thinking of saviors and simply high end rotation guys. He would be a nice piece. ![]() Monroe is a 16mm max player and in the current environment getting a 25 year old to whom might be elevated by the system might be a huge pick up. Free agency is after the draft we can see where w fall into. Take a kid like him, then maybe trade down to get two 1 picks if we are lucky to get the no. 1 pick and Philly gets the 3 or 4 Perhaps we go that route and inject Leave some room for Durant in '16. NYC needs that Starphuch Carrot. Next year the goal is top 10 in the conference with strong finish and a healthy Melo!!!! First things first.............Just lose baby!!!!! No. 1 pick and do what we may with it. If Phil think Russell is his sleeper Jordan (taken 3rd) or his Mamba (taken 13th) and get another player at the 12 then that could go a long way to solving one of the many holes to fill. |

With CBA money incresing getting Monroe will come with an opt out to get him a bigger deal two years into a 4 year deal. Im just saying thats how it goes down. |

DO NOT BELIEVE that Phil is going to spend it all on 2-3 players especially now that free agency has been cut in half. In fact other than LeBron I have no interest in paying 16-20mm to anyone. I'd rather have an aggressive draft plan and piece meal free agency-- leaving 20mm next year open for kd. I do have some fear that Dolan will enforce us to pay max salaries to guys like rondo and Monroe and shoot our load going forward for 4 years based on the theory Carmel AnD will win a Championship or with Dolan just be a lower tier playoff team why, phil just put this team together 180 days ago, you mean he needs to make over again ES
