I can't quite decide who talked a bigger game and delivered less, him or Ewing. And then thinking about your post, and thinking back to Ewing actually delivering - I'd say Amar'e!

Ewing never talked a big game, hell, he never talked at all & that is the way I like it. He may have made a few unfortunate predictions. He played his ass off & I really miss him in the court. Carmelo will never have half the heart Ewing had.

The wine thing was a better distraction than the extinguisher fight, wonder if he drank it after bathing in it? I guess we'll never know.

And just imagine....
Morons on here still pining for Gallo. Another HOF IR resident.
And Landry Fields. Another one year wonder who couldn't start for Westchester now.

Goodby Amare, have fun getting the FluTyson. Maybe Tyson can get you a date with Hibbert.

I've shared this story before:

Was on 8th Ave near Penn Station a few years ago going into an office building one evening in 2010 before "The Decision". Overheard a guy talking to the security guard saying "LeBron James is across the street"! I looked and saw a sick two-tone whip (like a Bentley or something) parked in front of the White Castle. OMG, LeBron blocks away from the Garden? It's a sign! I dashed across the street to see what was up.

I walked towards the counter and saw a long pair of legs in the midst of a huddle of guys. I looked up and saw who it actually was. I turned around, walked back to the building and reported back with disappointment: "it's not LeBron, it's Amar'e Stoudemire."

That feeling of disappointment never really left me. That first season was a lot of fun though before he caught the Allan Houston disease.

I definitely appreciate the fun moments Amar'e gave us, and wish him luck. If I ever go to a Knicks game again (not looking likely) and he's there in the opponents jersey, he gets a polite clap from me. Same as David Lee would get. But been ready to move on for a long time.
