leader just means that you make other players better.

No..Leadership means your team looks to you as an example on how to carry themselves as players on the court and and off/in the locker room...Means that others should emulate what you are doing on the court within the team construct... It also could mean you are the voice and the first interview as to how the overall well being of the team is...When others are looking for the pulse of the team you are that guy...When the team needs someone to step up and carry them then you are that guy...When all seems lost, you are the emotionally tough guy to step up and take over...

Pretty much the definition of leadership right there.

Is melo a leader? You are confusing me ... your definition of a leader may not fit here

I disagree with the getting people involved..Thats an orchestrator/PG etc..Look at the Spurs...In the last decade, Duncan was a leader at some points, Parker was a leader, and Manu was also a leader at some points...It's not always vocal because none of those guys are vocal leaders but U see they all listen to each other in those times...

Melo is a leader at times but not always...He needs help in that department...I think his teams does better when there are others to help carry the weight, on and off the court, like the situation of the Spurs..Melo had help in Denver one year with Billups..They went far in the playoffs..Much as most here want to give others like Billups and Kidd credit...But we all saw it...

I have defended the Melo Billups relationship more than anyone.

Melo is a talented bone head that needs to have an alpha that keeps him in check.

If he was on SA, Pop would have a heart attack ... those guys are all leaders because they play the right way and are willing to all be equal parts of a team.

Watching Melo's shot selection and freeze outs much make his teammates feel sick to their stomachs. That is not a leader, its called a bonehead. If he is put in a position to be our leader, we are fukked (as we have seen).

The shoot until you hit is beyond disgusting basketball.

I still always hold out some hope that someone will get into his thick head.

And enough of that childish 3 fingers to the head

So what Alpha out there u think can keep Melo in "check"??..Like some here who says Melo is a good 6th man or he is a good 2nd or 3rd option...The guy who is the toughest cover in the league...Who is that Alpha Dog??

U have only seen it where Melo has to carry his team..U have only seen it where JR Smith is our only other option..JR is now the 4th option in Cleve which he should be...Can u see the difference??..

alpha - CP3/Kidd/Billups/Wade/Noah/Lowry/Manu/Parker/Lin ... someone who is not afraid to tell him to not play like a dik head.

Or a guy who they can win games with..Didn't Durant camp recently say they would like to play with Melo..But as per usual, go out of the way to discredit Melo and his game ..Give credit to others..

I thought it ironic that Lebron's statement coincides with last weeks episode of About a Boy. Plagiarist. Well, not really. Got it backwards...

Just saying... maybe LBJ is a Minnie Driver fan...

You know I gonna spin wit it
