Galloway has a chance to be something--were going to have to be patient with Galloway. He's showing some things in terms of defense and rebounding/playing hard but it looks like his offense will be a work in progress. Maybe for this team Russell is the best fit--hes a PG who can make guys who are not as good better and can control the game from 26 feet/ spread the floor.

If you told me back in training camp that Galloway's issue would be the shooting touch on his jumper, I would have called you foolish, but he clearly has lost confidence in his shot, and is not shooting in a way consistent with his college success.

Whether it is mental, mechanical, or simply a pair of tired legs is unknown by me. I do know that in 19 games he averaged 37MPG in Westchester, and in 14 games with the Knicks, he is at 30MPG. Might be that he has hit the proverbial rookie wall.

Does anyone care to know how his minutes stack up with other rookies? In fact, except for #1 pick Wiggins, Galloway averages more minutes than ANY drafted rookie in the NBA, and he is surely being asked to do more for his team than most other rookies from his class. You average out DL and NBA minutes, and he has played 33 games at about 33MPG, I think.

Folks have to step back and look at what he is doing with the Knicks with some kind of perspective.

Along with Anthony, I expect Smith, Thomas, Amundson, Galloway, Calderon (unless traded, of course) and probably Hardaway, will be back. Early should be on the team next year too and hopefully they will give him some big minutes in Westchester to improve himself the rest of this year.

In the beginning of the year Wear and Aldrich seemed like they would be back next year, but they have both tailed off. Acy will probably be gone, and Larkin, who I hoped to see play the role of a spark plug on offense was probably gone for next year when they failed to pick up his option.

Lots of room for new players. No need to start from scratch. Jackson and Fisher also need some kind of continuity if they really plan to run the Triangle next year, whether or not you believe this offense to be outdated.

Well we can look forward to having a team full of other teams castoffs who are mostly slow non athletic inconsistent older players. Most of these players wouldnt make the starting 10 on a good team. Each has such deficiency--for example we know that calderon cannot drive Admundson cannot shoot Hardaway cannot dribble Smith cannot defend is a porous rebounder and has no low box game. All of these players for the most part are one trick pony types and when you put them all together--they become that much easier to defend. When playing against world class players--they will look bad. I have a gut feeling the Knicks somehow like Mudiay who also cant shoot so we will be stuck for the next 5 years losing 50 games each one. Case closed.

I think Smith can be an adequate starter, but unless OK4 turns out to be a good defender (assuming we get him), you would not want them together in a starting lineup.

Yeah, Hardaway is a terrible ball handler.

Neither of us know what Galloway will end up turning into as a player, but if you get a guy like Russell, who has some size and would be the primary ball handler, a guy like Galloway might end of being a good compliment to him.

I don't think Phil would take Mudiay if OK4 or Russell are on the board.
