Although the more reality side of me wanted to see the Knicks lose to benefit them, I am happy with the way has been playing.

He caught fire....and didn't care who was guarding him. He was decisive. Thats when he's at his best.

Has to do more of this. I sometimes feel he likes to stay in the background and not be assertive.

If you heard the broadcast, Clyde indicated that Gallo had come to him 2 or 3 times for talks about the basketball. It was also mentioned that he sat with Earl Monroe on some kind of trip. Not sure, but I think Frazier said Galloway was the only Knick who has done this, which seems amazing.

Add this to the story that he met Billups, a hero of his, at the All-Star game, and there is some kind of relationship going on.

Got to say he's talking to some good people, and hopefully he soaks up some info.

He also has Jim Cleamons as a coach, a guy who was not a great player, but someone more in line with Galloway's ability, although I haven't heard about any special relationship they have.

The problem is he tried to be a PG because of his size. But his real value is a SG with high IQ to make the right pass. That makes him more aggressive on offense. ...looking for his shot first...then pass second. Hes also a solid defender. As you saw on parker when he stripped the ball a few times. Parker is one of the elite guards. He was also guarding kwai Lenard tough. Thats 3 positions.....hes a keeper as a solid bench player capable of playing in crunch time.

Yup... he never had to do the ball handling he's doing with the Knicks when he was on St. Josephs, at least not in the clips I looked at when I found out he was coming to the Knicks' SL camp.

Pairing him with a larger PG, like a Russell, would work. I think the has the strength and wingspan to play against many SGs, and he would benefit from his relative quickness advantage when he goes up against most SGs.

He's definitely doing more running around with the Knicks on the defensive end than he ever did at St. Joseph's.

I tend to see him as a 20-30MPG combo guard in the NBA who comes off the bench, but I'm not willing to say that there is no way he will be a starter, because he has a good work ethic to go with his ability.

If he listens and learns he might continue to surprise folks next year. He's not a finished player at this point. Not saying he has some crazy high upside, but there are things in his game that he can improve that will make him a better and more efficient player.

At the very least, though, you have a solid second unit player who will get better as his career progresses.

I've said it a couple of times... if you look at the past draft, you have to slot Galloway into the late 1st round/early 2nd round, when you are assessing his contributions compared to the drafted players this year, and I lean toward the late 1st in my evaluation.

Any way you look at it, he's been a steal so far.
