he probably is but thats the point. Moz was expensive.
Nobody trades a good big for second rounders ... oh wait
Yeah but the Cavs made it known they wanted Moz. Phoenix put Miles name out there. They don't need him and want something for him. If Miles is a good fit I think Phil could get a deal done.
how could phil get a deal done? we have no assets.
I think that Phil is gonna have a tough off season. He will have to grossly overpay to get any of the good FA's and he he has very little to nothing as far as trading chips.
I think you are under selling how teams view Calderon and THjr. While they won't get you back enormous returns I think they will get something. Teams always value veteran leadership and shooting. Plus, coaches always seem to think they can transform young players. Another thing is that they will probably blame a lot of the issues on the system and coaching.
On the FA front. I think there are still some undervalued RFAs and UFAs out there that Phil can get. People will focus on Matthews when Green is very comparable and arguably better. The same goes for Cory Joseph, teams will be looking at Reggie Jackson when Joseph is probably the better choice. I like Tobias Harris and wouldn't mind him over Green despite Green's all around skills. I just feel Tobias is growing into that type of player and more.
They just have to hit on some players like some teams do.
I do have very little faith in Calderon and Thj. Other GM's are not idiots. They do have some value but not as much as we would like them to have.
Why does T Harris have such a low WS48? Thats pretty alarming.
Danny Green does seem like a good fit and perhaps a cheaper solution to Mathews but I am not sure that he will be that much cheaper. I also think that SA retains him while Portland lets Mathews go.
Reggie Jacksons value is plummeting and I hope we stay far away from him.
so here is what phil is thinking ....
