he probably is but thats the point. Moz was expensive.

Nobody trades a good big for second rounders ... oh wait

Yeah but the Cavs made it known they wanted Moz. Phoenix put Miles name out there. They don't need him and want something for him. If Miles is a good fit I think Phil could get a deal done.

how could phil get a deal done? we have no assets.

I think that Phil is gonna have a tough off season. He will have to grossly overpay to get any of the good FA's and he he has very little to nothing as far as trading chips.

so here is what phil is thinking ....

I guess I just tune in to watch my specific players.

Seems like his stock is going up based on his recent performances.

That's why I would try to trade for him now. I think NO is really in a position to distort his market value by not playing him. Then this summer they can tie him in a lengthy contract. Him and Davis length side by side is ridiculous. IF NO brings back Asik it would increase teams chances of out biding them for his back up. I'd would be okay with the knicks giving him mMle type money partially guaranteed and with some team options.

He caught my eye last year. I think I was watching a bad stream and was like I knew Davis was long but he really looks long. lol.

Hes only averaging 1 block per 36 which is not great.

what do we have as far as trade value to get him?

I don't think that Phil is gonna make any trades for assets at this point. He looks like he is in dump mode and waiting until the offseason to pick up his players.

I think you are under selling how teams view Calderon and THjr. While they won't get you back enormous returns I think they will get something. Teams always value veteran leadership and shooting. Plus, coaches always seem to think they can transform young players. Another thing is that they will probably blame a lot of the issues on the system and coaching.

On the FA front. I think there are still some undervalued RFAs and UFAs out there that Phil can get. People will focus on Matthews when Green is very comparable and arguably better. The same goes for Cory Joseph, teams will be looking at Reggie Jackson when Joseph is probably the better choice. I like Tobias Harris and wouldn't mind him over Green despite Green's all around skills. I just feel Tobias is growing into that type of player and more.

They just have to hit on some players like some teams do.

I do have very little faith in Calderon and Thj. Other GM's are not idiots. They do have some value but not as much as we would like them to have.

Why does T Harris have such a low WS48? Thats pretty alarming.

Danny Green does seem like a good fit and perhaps a cheaper solution to Mathews but I am not sure that he will be that much cheaper. I also think that SA retains him while Portland lets Mathews go.

Reggie Jacksons value is plummeting and I hope we stay far away from him.

It really depends. NO seems like an organization that would give THjr a shot. I could easily see them giving up ajinca and a future 2nd. It just depends on if they value Ajinca and what they think he will get on the open market. They have a interesting Salary situation. Most of their money is tied up since Asik has a 12.5m+ cap hold which would put them very close to the projected cap. They will have to be smart about how they add players because their 1st round pick will also have a cap hold. So they might only have the MLE to sign FAs outside of vet min types.

With Tobias I would be more alarmed if he wasn't only 22 or if he was not improving. You have to get young players like this before they blow up or else they would not be available.

Re Green: that's definitely possible but I wonder if they would give him what Matthews might command. Remember they are having problems about giving Leonard max money. So are they willing to pay $9-12m for Green? I think overpaying for Green might still be cheaper than Matthews the way he is going.

He's ok but I would need Warren included to trade a #1. Remember it's the suns who have demoted Plumlee to 3rd string there is almost no way Warren is getting pt with the Morris twins ahead of him. From now on its either get a deal u really like or don't do it at all. To me Plumlee is worth a2 nd round pick right now he's 3on the suns depth chart

No knicks fan would like if we worked hard to get an additional 1 t o burn it on Plumlee alone. It sounds like old knicks. Add in Warren then I'm interested we need scoring. Plumlee alone cor a 1 is a reactionary nightmare
