Cartman,
I think when you consider the nature of the Triangle your looking for disciplined players who will do things off the ball, provide diciplined ball movement, and have a good BB IQ.
Phil has generally prefered his guards "big" or have the wingspan.
While Nate is a spectacular athlete and fun to watch he is most valuable as a shot creater and instant offensive threat off the bench. He carried Chicago two years ago when Rose when down and their bench was offensively challanged.
Your obviously a fan, but objecively he drives his coach's crazy with his tunnel vision, Attention Deficeit disorder, and personality. Those might actually be fun reasons to watch him! I believe he is one of the greatest athletes on the planet right now and if he was 6-8 with a the looney toon brain he would be a top 10 player in this league. But he is not.
