Watching Russell now. I think the Brandon Roy comparisons are pretty spot on. I see him more as two-guard with playmaking abilities than a pointguard

who knows... all we can go by is the fact that NBA players and the stars he has played with look up to him. Kobe and Durant both regard him as one of their biggest influences and those are just two. He ran the NBPA as well.

This insane notion that you spread that this guy cant coach and never will be able to after seeing his "work" with this roster is just that. Insane. Dude's been a positive influence and highly regarded in every circle he's been in. Phil picked him and was transparent in his reasons.

What he has done as a player doesn't mean jack. All I know is that he is the head coach of a 5 and 35 record thus far. His lineups have been questionable; his shirt tamper with the kids, his inability to fix our terrible perimeter defense, are all reasons to point that he is a terrible coach.

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

You have to be patient with this coach and allow him the chance to coach for more than 40 games with a depleted roster. If Fisher is a horrible coach we will learn that in time, but not from this season.

If you think it's about lineups then you aren't really paying attention. It doesn't matter what defense they use, this roster doesn't have enough defensive talent to be effective. It's really about the talent this time. It's not always about the coach. A great roster is going to win games even with a bad coach, but a good coach can only do so much with a bad roster. The most important factor is the talent you have and how they fit as a team, then a great coach can help a talented team win more but you have to have that talent. Phil Jackson had talented teams and was able to push them to the top. When he had poor talent he wasn't able to make up for that lack of talent and win a title. A coach can only do so much.

I am a very patient man and I am willing to allow Fisher at least another year to prove that he can become a coach in the NBA. His idea of allowing the free reign to perimeter shooters while packing the paint is archaic and not a good idea in today's basketball. Further, his impatience with the young players is also also not a good look
