There's no comparison to Noah here.

Towns is much more polished offensively and has better mechanics as a college player.

Passing and playmaking. He is also more athletic than OK4

Will fill the stat sheet like Anthony Davis and Joakim Noah. Everything people hoped Dwight Howard would be. Gonna make some team really happy.

Taylor made for the Triangle and will compliment Melo whereas OK4 & Melo will get in each others way

Damn, nice highlights. I'd be ecstatic to get Towns in the draft, but if we have the number 1 I still snag OK4. Either way, top 2 pick for us we land us a legit big for the triangle. Gasol was never coming here, so we're going to need other pieces.

I love that Phil is planning to spend the cap carefully and piecemeal, rather than sign a max money vet.

The interesting thing about Noah and Davis were that they were former guards who had cray growth spurts. If Noah had a conventional shot he would have been an even bigger beast in college. He still has that great ball handling skills and court awareness on the break

He does not pass nor is he a "playmaker" like Noah...Spoken like someone who has just watched him play in a bunch of youtube videos.

Both Towns and OK4 have a LOT of work to do. They dominate in the paint, which they should, at this level but those dunks aren't going to come as easy in the NBA. Neither one has a legit post game or as shown to have a consistent outside shot.

This isn't Camby and Duncan and I'm not sold on them being able to play in the Triangle offense.

Ok4 is already an elite post player

Agree with you. Not saying Towns, or any one of these young men can't improve but, if the Knicks don't land the #1 pick, I hope they trade it for either more picks or an already NBA proven player.

Although I am not completely sold on Okafor (at least not in this offense), he seems to be the best player college player. Knicks need to be looking for big men through this draft and veteran high IQ PG through free agency or trade.

I have only seen Towns play twice buy not impressed. Big risk taking him #2. I think I rather get someone with much more offensive talent, one of the guards? Towns doesn't look like a 7'
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

Almost impossible of Towns to look good on this Kentucky squad. The way they play isn't going to make the best use of a big like him. You have to work him out and run him thru your own tests.

I think I agree with ya, Dog. Was watching today and he wasn't doing it for me. Caught him another time a couple of weeks ago on TV and same thing--wasn't overly impressed. You know who caught my eye at the end of today's game: Trey Lyles. Not sure how big that dude is but he looks tall and long. Knocked down the huge J late in double OT...Also thought Dakari Johnson looked good. Man, Calipari's got a lot of big guys on that team he can keep throwing at the opposition that are 6'10" or better...Gotta give Texas A&M a lot of credit for hanging around in today's game. Looked like they were at a severe disadvantage talent/height-wise yet they played hard and kept coming. Good game..

Just trying to figure out who outta Okafor, Towns and Mudiay, who might be able to help us out right away and really hit the ground running. Towns might be 3rd on that list for me. Towns looks like a kid that's gonna take a few years and then who knows man--no guarantee that he'll be a dominant 20/10 guy in the NBA. I think Okafor's much more of a sure thing. I don't see the real power interior game outta Towns like Okafor has and then I don't see anything close to the athleticism an Anthony Davis has either.

I gotta go with towns over Mudiay. I can't tell you if Mudiay is Tyreke Evans or Brandon Jennings. He plays in China, or he's supposed to be playing in China. I have to trust our scouts on him, but I have no problem trading down if we don't get the top pick.

Towns will be a best in this league for two reasons....he defends and he can stroke a shot from anywhere on the court. two players will always thrive in this league.

What rookie other than Rondo Wade help their teams right away and they were drafted over a decade ago? Drafted to ready made championship contenders. Both guards. Bigs don't peak right away. Every top rookie needs time even lebron. We are not going from 5 wins to an NBA championship next year. I know the knicks fanbase struggles with patience but COME ON

I've seen quite a few rookie play well right off the bat, obviously the nba adjustment is real.

OK4 is the most ready made offensive player in the draft and I still would not expect more than 11 & 6 his rookie year.

11 & 6 in 28mins will help us if he can score, defend & rebound at opportune times unlike Amare.

Towns I would expect 8 & 8 in 28mins. Same thing..score, defend & rebound at opportune times.

I would expect both guys to get better every year as they learn the NBA game
