Saw that. He also tweeted about how much leadership KG is providing the Nets young players. I wonder if Phil considers bringing in KG as a vet leader.

I want to get away from that. The Knicks need to find guys that are self motivated and posses leadership qualities. We could use vets on the bench but we need leadership coming from the guys that are actually playing the heavy minutes everyday. We don't need babysitters watching grown men

As I said, sign a bunch of really good D Leagers and start them and I reckon that they would play better than the current knicks

Nice reminder of how quickly teams can turn things around. Also stuff on Paul Pierce before he was a champion on that 24 win team.

There is no Kevin Garnett to trade for

There is no Ray Allen to trade for

We don't have the assets to trade for this caliber of talent

There isn't this caliber of talent available via free agency

We don't have a Rondo, Perkins, or Tony Allen

Type of young talent on our team[No Shumpert is not Tony Allen]

And by this example I guess that means we're trading our

Lottery Pick to even have a remote chance of mimicking what the Celtics did to start

And that Melo might be as good as Pierce careerwise

Besides aren't we trying to duplicate what the Heat did

Yeah, one of the best players in the league is the reason we suck (end sarcasm).

Right on point, you want to be signing vets for their experience in the playoffs, not to fill a leadership void.

Exactly. We're almost completely devoid of assets outside of our draft pick. And even if we did have assets, what great, MVP caliber player like Garnett is available?

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

That's 5 slots...call up Thanasis and some other guys from Westchester. Sign some guys to 10 day contracts.

Try to move Calderón or Jr smith but they need to be waived and stretched.

**** this shot.... Bargnani with his injuries, Amare needing rest, shump hurt, Dalembert hurt... **** it dude we don't need them to win....we need to shut the **** down and look at the draft and off season **** this ****

Weren't you the guy who threw a hissy fit when people suggested this months ago? You know, before the trade value plummeted for the same players you are mentioning? I just wanted to confirm as much being that I'm an ******* and all, lol.

I threw the hissy fit for another reason.

Nobody thought we were going to be this bad. Since we are then we need to drop every piece of **** that's lingering and move forward. That was my idea anyway but I said Christmas. This **** has been over well before that.

I think it was pretty evident that this team was **** from the get-go. The question was how ****ty would we be. And if that is what we had to look forward to, I don't understand the rationale in NOT cashing out ASAP and tank. Imagine how much better a position we would've been in had we moved Calderon and JR for expirers, while adding 2nd rounders for our serviceable role players. Imagine how much better we would be for next season had we used this opportunity to rest Melo and develop young players like Travis Wear, Quincy Acy, Cleanthony Early as well as whatever castoffs we got from the D-league (e.g. Elliot Williams, Langston Galloway, etc.) or other teams (e.g. Jimmer Fredette, Thomas Robinson, Meyers Leonard, etc.)

Phil just signed Melo to a 5 year deal and we couldn't trade Calderón until sometime in December. Bargnani has been hurt all year. Shump, jr, and thjr have all been disappointments....Jason smith and Acy seemed like good pick ups.....Cole seemed poised for a breakout season, cleanthony seemed like a super rookie. Dalembert was supposed to rebound and play defense, larkin was supposed to be a good pick up, Calderón was hurt just before the season opener.

Every single thing that could possibly go wrong has went wrong. Why Do we always have to expect everything that could possibly go wrong will go wrong. Why can't we ever have things fall into place? I was expecting the Knicks to be hovering around .500 not fighting for the worst record in the league. It's a damn shame. If we were hovering around .500 then making lateral trades would make sense. Right now we couldn't move anybody if we wanted to and we really really want to. So Stan vangundy set the example that you don't have to hijack your fan base by making them deal with bull**** players....just waive them and cut your losses. We need to preserve our future and rebuild a culture. We can't do that with the veteran losers we have on this team. They aren't in the plans so **** them.

losing like Philly is losing with dignity. They are trying to develop talent. They have a young team. They get better with every lose. Our knicks are just embarrassing and having to read the injury reports just adds insult to injury. It's ridiculous. At this point, everything I said in my first post needs to go down. Lose with dignity and rebuild with purpose. Make good on the culture change and get ready for the draft and off season.

Calderon could've been traded before the season even began. His trade restriction was lifted 2 months after the deal was made in July. And the incumbents on the team played similarly this season to what they did last. They just aren't that talented and never were.

I still feel we need to expedite this growing process. Amare, Dalembert, Bargnani and Shump all need to go..... it's not worth trying to get something for them....we need to get rid of JR Smith and Calderon too if we can.

It's January, if a team wanted to trade with us it would happen. I'm not down with waiting. I want to use the next half of the season evaluating young talent. Culture change needs to start now. Every person I Mentioned is not apart of the new culture. Time to get this ball rolling
