If its a good draft, I would consider trading top 3 for 2 top 15 picks...unless of course, 1-3 are can't miss.

Who has multiple 1st round picks this year?

I wouldn't. Determining whether a draft is a good drsft or not beforehand is not a good idea imo.

Draft gurus said the same thing about last year's draft when in reality it's like every draft. A few good NBA prospects and a bunch of players who will be out of the league in a few years. It is imperative to get a top 3 pick and due our due diligence on selected the best player

You were down on Towns a few weeks ago- what's changed your mind? Is he playing better or are the other guys playing worse?

I had him at 6 a couple of weeks ago. I thought he was the best big on the court and he showed better physical balance than Stein. Again we need to see more. I want to see Towns have a 21 point 16 rebound 5 block game against a good team.

towns seems to have a really nice shooting touch.

Can he develop a decent 3 point game?

so here is what phil is thinking ....

Trading down a top three pick is not an option....
especially when you consider we have no #1 next year.

Phil's "plan" seems to have precipitated into acquiring Big three#2 in the draft and then Big three #3 in FA.
#1 Melo/ #2 OK4 or Towns?/#3 Butler or RJackson?
We need to be patient and let this play itself out....
and continue to tank HARD!

It is happening naturally. No need to try to tank

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

I am convinced that at least part of this (tanking) is by design.
Fisher's no coach attitude and poor rotation substitutions, Phil's absence through all of this, Bargnani's disappearance, etc. I smell a rat.....but I'm happy that this is going on.
It'll take time, I bet 3 years, but it's our most logical way back to respectability.

I think OK4 has something torn in his knee. I think that perhaps its his MCL

HE IS PLAYING WITH HIS KNEE WRAPPED.

Just my diagnosis from my couch.

really love the way the OK4 passes out of the post and the way he holds the ball away from the defense.

I have watched many hours of footage of both OK4 and Towns and it may be a bit more of a risk especially early on but I think that Towns has a bigger upside.

Okafor doesnt miss shots--hes toying with players. If he was given 30 shots hed hit 20 every night. Hes to big and skilled to be stopped in CBB even at 19. Kentucky could put double 7 footers on him but thats not the NBA. There is no way the Knicks or any other club isnt taking Ok4 one. If we get Ok4 and a good PG fill in with good role players--the Knicks will be back very quickly. If we get Ok4 and get rid of Calderon--will be in the playoffs competing next year.

Change up--moving Towns down 2 spots and moving Harrell and Brimah into the top 10 and Russell to 2. I think Russell might be the star guard he could be a solid top pick 3 NBA all star player. Ive been down on this draft at the top but he is definitely bringing it special player. Hes above Towns imho.
I have been so impressed with Amida Brimah. Take out the Duke game where he was in immediate FT--the guy has just been sensational. I have Stein ahead of him but if Amida's offense continues at the pace its moving at+ he will still physically mature vs Stein who has fully matured body wise--the upside might just be with Brimah. Brimah now is leading all draft picks with a TS% of 702 and eFG @ 69%. What I have seen in his last two games is some great fundamental improvement where he has stopped lunging for the block and rather has played beautiful D and its been very hard for teams to score. He's athletic he runs the floor. Great prospect. Ive also moved Kelly Oubre into the last pick of 10. His upside is very high--showing signs.

1. Okafor
2 Russell
3 Mudiay
4 Towns
5 Stein
6 Wright
7 Harvey
8 Kaminsky
9 Brimah
10 Oubre

Why no mention of Turner? He seems like a great prospect. Skilled offensively and very aggressive on defense with great size. I haven't seen a lot of him though. What is he missing other than being raw?

I wonder if he even declares. He looks like a great shooter but he doesn't pass that much and turns it over about as much as he gets assists.

I have not seen him play that much except for highlights but Briggs, is it fair to say he is a taller and better shooting version of Langston Galloway?

Because of the teams composition Harvey is engaged to shoot more. He played more pure 1 in his freshmen year. His coach calls him a 1.5. Obviously I believe he is the next Curry and have moved him to where I think his skills compare to the rest of the board. His TS% is number 1# overall. I found some additional tape and was very impressed with his ballhandling--there is no doubt he is a 1 guard at 6 -4. He has a LOT of potential as a PG--as does Delon Wright just a different type of player. I moved in Wood for his shotblocking but I do not feel he is a better near term prospect than others below him--rather a better longer term. I weighed and put him 10 again. Auguste @ 6-10.5 245 is 2 inches+ and 5 pounds heavier than Harrell with better metrics Im not a fan of Myles Turner I dont like the way he runs. I have Frank Kaminsky much higher than most as well--and I dont see that changing.

Kaminsky played OK4 exceptionally well. Now, there is a big age difference. OK4 at 19 is going to improve and that size is and wingpan is pretty sick. I couldnt find Kaminsky's measurements. He looks pretty long. I think OK4 has about 20-30 pounds on him
