There is s trade to be made for Melo. Josh, Dwight and Harden are pretty good but you add melo and it could be very formidable. Best front court in the league. One of the best shooting guards and a solid pg.

might as well go all in. Melo should really look at that

Seriously?

I mean what's wrong with Houston going for Melo? You think them trading for Melo would make them worse?

Ariza, Jason Terry (expiring), kostas, Alexey and their 1st round draft pick for Melo sounds good enough to me.

Lol. Stop posting bruh.

I think contending teams would be willing to add Melo. We can't expect them to throw in picks though.

No one is gonna gut their roster for him, which they'd have to do to accommodate his ridiculous contract. thats what makes the idea silly at best. then the pieces coming back are all trash, but maybe thats melo's worth now a days.

I been combing the league looking for ways to trade him. That's the best option for him. Losing ariza, old man terry, kostas and Alexey isn't exactly gutting their roster.

It's the best deal we can get. We're not getting a star player for Melo, but at this stage why would we care? We're about to get super cap space to sign someone else. This trade actually gives the Knicks even more space to play with.

I like it. Very optomistic, positive & realistic trade. Pick or no pic. Cut our losses

Not really, CA is a very good shooter and scorer, he was unwilling to play OFF the ball with some lesser talents because of his EGO
However, he surely wouldn't mind playing a backseat role and settle for wide open 3pt shots after all the losing he has experienced for the past year and a half
Wide open 3pter's all day and bully ball whenever a small matches up with him

CA surely would respect Harden, D12, a free trainer in Hakeem, the defensive players to cover him in Houston with Ariza, Terrence Jones with Josh Smith rotating defending the harder match up whenever he is on the floor, along with Beverely harrasing and Howard backing them up

CA gets to keep his contract, make more money with no state tax, not sure if there is a trade kicker, and gets to compete this year
However, I don't see how we can ever build a contender with the way we are set up, but he would be perfect in Houston in my opinion
At the very least it would take 3 more years just to assemble the roster and by then who knows how CA will be as we would still have to build chemistry/develop young talent with him

It also makes Morey look like the GOD of GM's, signing trading and signing a big 3 of his own without giving up much and raping others in trades for years
They still have the MINI MLE to add more talent in the off season along with possibly buying/trading for 2nd rounders, with vet mins coming in as steals like they were following Lebron

Anthony could likely even have a higher PTS at a highly efficient rate, with less minutes, and gets many rested nights off with big leads
Layups, open shots, FT's, and dunks, while playing limited DEFENSE for him for majority of the time

Johnson is already an NBA caliber defender. It would be nice to have someone who could make PGs change direction at least once before scoring a lay up.

It sounds like the Rockets are going to waive either Tariq Black or Joey Dorsey. If they waive Black the Knicks should consider waiving someone to acquire him.

Both Dorsey and Black would be solid upgrades for us, however, I think a team like Philly or a team that is developing will pick whoever is up
They both are decent backup PF or undersized Center that run the floor well, rebounds/defends/ well and intanbibles/hustle pts

^^^I think Houston does a fantastic job developing players. Their affiliation with the d league and how they use it is a model for the rest of the nba. However, I disagree about Phil not looking at and finding undrafted gems and trying to develop them. I think the Knicks are doing a fantastic job in Westchester. The guys that they protected from the d league draft, Galloway, and Sanchez look like they have a very good chance of being nba role players down the road. Stashing Thanasis there where he isn't taking up an nba roster spot but is getting to play and work with the knick organization. I also think keeping Wear over Outlaw is a sign that things have changed. Getting a former Mc Donald's All American that posted modest numbers at major college programs is definitely a sign of good scouting and being thorough in your hunt for talent. Remember Wear was brought in only for the last summer league game but right away was given a camp invite.

The Knicks approach to the d league in the past frustrated me because they were so far behind some teams. They seem to be catching up and it is on Phil's watch.

Knicks should look at picking up Tariq. He might look good in Cole's spot.

Phil could send an SVG like message without impacting the cap and picking up a prospect.

I wonder if Cleveland is going to be all over this guy to try and help replace Varejao. I hope we can get him so we pick up a prospect and put some pressure on Cleveland to deal for Dalembert.

After last night he could waive Cole. There are other candidates that could be waived.

Why you so interested in waiving Cole...because he walked away from Acy?

We don't owe anything to anyone on this roster. Thanasis needs to be called up anyway.

Tarik Black is a dope prospect to have on the bench

I thought that was heartless. He turned his back on his teammate. I could be wrong but I don't think is part of things in ny long term anyway. He probably isn't on the roster if odom worked out.

Cole turning away is no more eggregious than Melo just standing there doing nothing either.

The pretense now that Cole is an uber-villain is fake man-up BS.

If you have to err on the side of assumptions, you could just as easily say Cole showed some sense by walking away from trouble.

This team is not a team. If anyone is going to look for reasons why this team lacks harmony, focusing on Cole is silly.

I get how folks may want our guys to show some toughness, but come on now Acy lost his chit when NOTHING WAS ON THE LINE. We were getting beaten, he was frustrated, but him getting all psycho was not going to rally this team, so if you are going to focus on one player it should be Acy.

Acy was the biggest idiot on the floor. Not Cole.

Cole was showing his true feelings. Did anyone else step up? No. So cut the BS.

The other players can talk about teamwork, but do they live up to that idea?

I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell!

No one on the court looked good but someone looked really bad. Sorry if you disagree but that isn't b.s. Every player other than Wall helped to restrain Acy. Did Melo stay away from the fray? Absolutely. But he didn't turn his back and walk away. No one else on the court except for the biggest Knick and the guy closest to the action did that. There are major problems with the team. But what Cole did stands out. If those are his true feelings then he doesn't want to be a part of the team.

Yep as usual the coy cunning but cheapest nasty Houston Rockets
dying to get rid of their Junk players for star players and they may succeed.

Don't know why NBA teams willing to help teams like Rockets by assuming guys for
Rockets end mean which is to kick As_ses of each other teams beneath them.

yea I know I.Canaan got an upside, but Rockets are shrewd in deals and Josh Smith would fit into their team of selfish players
They still ain't winning sh-t Or NBA title!
