If Josh Smith to Houston isn't official, Cavs can get an injury exemption for Varajo that would be close to a bit over 4m

They just have to apply for it and they can get 1/2 of Varejo's contract which would be a bit over 4m to use
However, Josh Smith decided to team up with his buddy in Dwight instead of making a bit more money

Envy, one of the posts about a possible traded with Houston, you wanted to include Ariza, I highly doubt Morey would even consider it
I have always been a big fan of Ariza and would have loved the idea of acquiring him but he is a player that is one of your last pieces to add, and we simply are not there yet either
We might have a better shot at getting Terrence Jones than Ariza

But I think it is very possible that he might want Pablo Prigs as he is big on STATS and Pablo has one of the better 3pt % in the entire league, even last year he was great
Also has shown he can produce with low volume shots and limited minutes

He has been offering 1-2 year deals and just adding/rotating assets/draft picks for the past couple years and ripping us apart in trades with other teams as well with 2 2nd round picks for players they have no interest in keeping anyway
Well those assets add up and helped them get to where they are now

Morey is looking very good for GM/Executive of the year if Josh Smith will fit in and with these trades they made, they can easily make another trade for CA with the added salary and depth they gained
Will Morey look to lowball us is the question or would he just cut the BS and give us an offer that would make The Rockets the favorites in the West and one of the best starting lineups and deep players
CA would fit great there with the attention Harden gets and the Defense that their role players provide

They can us a legit offer for this season or ride it out to the summer to decide but I think they will try to go for it all this year with the way Harden has been leading the way

Beverely
Harden
CA
Ariza
D12

Cannon/Pablo
Nick Johnson
Terrence Jones/Josh Smith *could go big and put Harden at PG and take Beverely out at times*
Black/Dorsey

Clint Capela

trading out for CA (for this sesaon)
ALL are expirings outside of DMO, who can serve as a solid PF and solid post presence with better defense than STAT and 3pt range

1- Terry 5.5m
2- Kostas Papanikolaou 4.8m (unguaranteed contract)
3- Alexey Shved 3.2m

2 years left on contracts
================================

4- Brewer 4.7m
5- Donatas Motiejunas 1.5m

Add in some minimum players like Black/Dorsey or whoever and it would fit
They can probably even get back Iman or/and Tim Hardaway if they wanted to as well

Terry would likely be waived
Kostas Pap could be kept or traded in the future his contract isn't guaranteed
Shved has a 4m qualifing offer and we have time to tell as he is a BIG combo/PG

DMO has really improved much, a bit slow but legit 7footer, with post moves/hook shots/mid range game/ 3pt range when left open, usually left baseline, and he has shown he can facilitate/post up when Howard was out
I think he can fit and play well in Triangle and be part of our future

Brewer is a very solid player and could be used to gain another asset, moving him to a contender

So I would be looking for

2-3 1st rounders (probably 2)
3-5 2nd rounders, with 2 of them being our own 2015 and 2016 2nd round picks
