Yes, but we can't trade the pick now. After we draft whoever we draft we could then trade the rights to that player. I'm going to be terrified watching the whole draft and waiting for an announcement that we've made a trade.

You know whats unbelievable--that we actually have this pick. how in the world did this pick make it through without being atleast swapped with the Houston Rockets somehow for their 24 pick?

It really is. We've traded away or swapped draft picks going back almost an entire decade; it's like a miracle when we have our own pick.

Going forward, if we've learnt one thing from the past decade: DONT TRADE ANY MORE FIRST ROUND DRAFT PICKS EVER AGAIN! We could have rebounded from all of our salary cap hells and disastrous acquisitions if we'd just kept our first rounders- we could have drafted Amar'e, LaMarcus Aldridge, Noah- the list is endless.

Lowry

And if we'd done that, in 2017, when Lowry would be on the decline/injured and Melo was breaking down, we would have been back to praying we just make the playoffs so another team didn't get another lottery pick from us.
