We need some entertainment and Lance going apeshyte would certainly qualify. Not to mention him going wild in his hometown. His contract is cap friendly enough where he is literally always going to be tradeable. What the hell roll the dice. Maybe Lance will scare Melo into passing more.

And hey, if he does put it all together he'll be our best player. By far. Ive alway railed against the Knicks acquiring knucklehead projects and praying they put it all together here but in this case there is enough of an escape hatch (very reasonable contract) to roll the dice.

and what would you give up for him?

so here is what phil is thinking ....

To me the Hornets are looking to get out of his contract and NY has plenty of expirings. I am not high on ThJR but if they want him then fine. They would need to include a couple of second rounders and maybe Bismack but I am not sure he would do anything here because he rebounds and blk shots.

Indy is trying to hold out for a 1st rounder. Now I am sure that is just to set up getting a more reasonable deal but they knicks would be in a position to only ask for a 2nd rounder.

Pacers said they wanted TWO first round picks for taking him off the Hornets hands. That's the kind of value he has at the moment! Yikes!

Well I was speaking purely hypothetically since we probably, no, make that we definitely have zero assets that Charlotte wants in a trade. Or maybe we do and I just suck at coming up with these fake trade scenarios! I didn't realize that actual, realistic trade scenarios existed!

Give up either Amare and Shump for Lance

Thank God Fisher is no longer our coach, now let's get Calderon out of here:)

Or give them Calderon and expiring contract for Lance. They need shot makers because they rely too much on Walker and big Al. They really don't have a play maker.

25 games is an awful small sample size. If The knicks can get a player and some picks why not do it. Just think he would get to hang around Calderon and Prigs. A week or two around them and he starts passing up shots then all his shooting problems will go away.

We have nothing to give up and we don't need him. Stay the course--absolute zero reason to even inquire.

For me. And I'm a dreamer, I'd like to see the following trade go down:

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n8cxyvr

Knicks get:
Rondo, lance, bass

Celtics get:
Calderone and bargs

Charlotte get:
Jr and our dalembart

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Defense would be nice, but a team with rondo and lance's abysmal shooting would fail.

Well im watching the hornets game, and Lance just went down screaming grabbing his groin, probably a relief to the team considering how erratic he was playing.
