right! He settles for way too many jumpers to try to shoot himself into the game. He is good at taking it to the hole and should do it more.

I think it's very easy to see. Tim H needs more development in his game. In the D league he will be able to play 4-5 games "free" for 38+ minutes with instructions to play a full all around game that includes using your dribble just as much as you use your J. Getting back on D and into your stance watching the ball and the man, helping when needed. Rebounding passing to the open man the whole shibang. My bet is his confidence would rise quite dramatically and would be more prepared to take a bigger role with the big club. He needs to take a step back to take 3 steps 4ward.

It all depends on how he handles the demotion, it could work if he goes there with the right attitude. I honestly don't know how THJ would react to being sent down.

which highlights his biggest problem. his psyche

Its still early in the season, he may yet get his confidence back. His dad said that Tim doesn't like to take advice from him. I think he really wants to live up to the family name and establish himself in his own right. The pressure might be getting to him after such a promising rookie season. Hard to say from a distance. Hope it works out, we could use a reliable shooter.

I guess that I am one of the only ones that was not that impressed with his rookie season.

Really? he was NBA rookie first team, there were a few games last season when he was money in crunch time. I guess he has "Stark's disease", feast or famine.

yeah ... feast or famine really gets to me.

And, if you are gonna miss shots in volume you better make up for it by playing defense and/or rebounding which he may be the worst player in the league at both.

He definitely has some skills so I can end up being wrong about him but he better figure it out quick or he will be trying to figure it out on another team.

Pluses - very good in transition and has good body control and finishing skills at the hoop. His shot when on is pretty but very often its flat and has very little arc.

Minuses - everything else :-(

These draft picks are turning into complete trash, thats why I can never get excited about a draft, majority of these picks need years and years in the league before they figure it out. Unless you bring them into a winning culture with veteran high IQ players..by the time they figure it out, they've been traded or out of the league

Curry came to a bad team and it took a few years but it happened.

Tough to score in the draft but you just need to draft one stud every 10 years.

so here is what phil is thinking ....
