I'm with Yellow. Peanuts and he can be a valuable trade piece if he doesn't pan out
There was absolutely no need right now
To pick his option up whatsoever
apparently there is....After some initial uncertainty, the New York Knicks plan to pick up the third-year contract option for guard Shane Larkin, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
The Knicks have been satisfied with Larkin, 22, in the preseason, and will guarantee the $1.67 million on his contract for the 2015-16 season.
The deadline for guaranteeing the third-year option comes at the end of October.
That is what I thought. The Knicks could have waited 2 weeks but by picking up Larkin's contract now, they give Larkin more confidence and he can just think about basketball. He doesn't have to worry about where he will be. And Triple Treat's evaluation of Larkin's agent is probably a 2nd valid reason. And 3rd we can trade him if Phil sees a better deal, as Larkin is under our control for another yr.
Good move by Phil.
The difference between fiction and reality? Fiction has to make sense.
