Did Chancey really play poorly for us? His numbers were not spectacular but it was only a small sample size, in which he was crippled with injury. I was only able to catch the nationally televised games that the Knicks played in at the time but he consistently seemed to get the ball where it needed to be, played good defense and hit big shots (e.g. against Miami). On top of that, he seemed to be a good leader that bridged the gap between Amare and Melo. What more do you need from a PG?

We always seem to get them after their prime.

I would like the idea of getting both Wallace and Billups on our development squad, they are HIGH IQ players that know how to play on and off the ball

Rasheed Wallace as our Development/Assistant Coach, he was one of the first hybrid stretch 4/5's with a LEGIT post up game to initiate our OFFENSE or play as decoy to stretch the floor

OFFENSE
he simply is one of the better PF/C that has the skills abilities to post up and play as a stretch 4/5 in todays game with and old school post up game

DEFENSE
He is very under rated on DEFENSE, with the ability to play good 1v1 DEF and good help DEF,

Billups also as one of the most under rated PG/SG's in the league at his prime, he helped CA to the deepest play off run while CA took to least FG attempts in his career, despite being in the downhill of his career
He is a leader, his abilities to play both with the ball and OFF the ball, skills that are both needed in the triangle

Billups was not the best at penetrating but was extremly efficient both in the DEEP BALL game with clutch performances, mid range, and POST UP for a PG and some SG with his strength/size
He used his ability to spread the floor with his high IQ to spread the floor with the rest of the team
Not many players can balance when to be a scorer and when to be a facilitator, he understood it

His skills would translate in the triangle and could also be one of our SHOOTING coaches

DEFENSE is played with 5 players NOT with 1 or 2 players, we need the talent to execute great defense as well as the mobility and speed/IQ/athleticism to cheat and recover in time, to anticipate our opponents
Simply follow the philosophy of the SA Spur's, a reason why I would like to get one of Poppavich's assistants or former players, Duncan would be ideal because he could also help develop our PF/C with fundamentals both on OFF and DEF, with POST up and MID range games,

I would also like to get some DEFENSIVE F's like Pippen/Battier to help our development for DEF, at the very least a Matt Barnes type of player
To compliment CA, we need a young Shawn Marion type of player, hopefully Early could become that player while Tenacious could be a defensive specialist/lock down potential at SG

Robert Horry is another player I would target that was one of the best under rated PF/C's as a role player, hitting many clutch shots, winning with Rockets/Lakers/Spur's with different philosophies from coaches
