![]() Easy one for me, as their salaries, I would much rather have Jose Calderon
It is hard to swallow for some, in one point of their careers, both CP3 and Deron Williams were looking like the BEST PG in the league going back and forth during their first 6 seasons or so After CP3, hurt his knee, it looked like Deron Williams could have seperated himself, however, instead he caught some injuries of his own and has never been the same |

![]() Bad ankles, max salary and a decidedly negative disposition makes Deron a bad bet. For that kind of money, I at least want someone who doesn't want to be somewhere else

Fans like logic and facts....especially when they are correct. Calderon - 47.9% FG (51% from 2......41% from 3pt)......87.4% FT |

Their career numbers are:
Now the joy of my world is in Zion
How beautiful if nothing more
Than to wait at Zion's door
I've never been in love like this before
Now let me pray to keep you from
The perils that will surely come

I don't dispute the career #s. I was just using the #s statandmelo provided. I think both are good shooters but below average starting PGs. |

![]() To me, Deron Williams for 50-ish games is better than Calderon for 60 or 70-ish. His contract is icky but there is no saviour at PG down the road for us, so we might as well roll the dice on Williams who has greater star power and is younger. Maybe he could have a Baron Davis like rebound when he was traded to the Warriors.
From an X's and O's standpoint, I think Williams is a better fit. He's basically as efficient as Calderon and isn't close to being the defensive sieve. Realistically, Williams is big enough and strong enough to defend the 2 guard spot like Jason Kidd did for us back in the day. If Dragic re-signs with the Suns in the immediate future, I'd look into trading for Williams. |
