Max he will have 1 year out to be safe and his bones will be stronger than they were before the injury. He will have a titanium rod inserted and the bone grown also adds to it being stronger. Anderson Silva had the same injury from a checked kick and he has a fight booked for a little over a year past the day he got injured. Just yesterday he said his leg was 95% now but he will give it more time to be safe. We are only 7 months away from when he got injured.

![]() Paul George's injury is almost exactly like Silva's after seeing both.
The only difference is the Silva's 90 degree break was forward of his body and PG's was 90 degrees to the side. I am not a doctor and have no idea if that makes any difference at all, but I hope he makes a complete recovery. This injury was completely due to that stupid upright being to close to the court line. I don't recall the Summer League games having that thing so close. |

![]() Horrific stuff- it'll be real struggle to get over that physically and mentally. Hope he does though, Shawn Livingston is an amazing example that it's possible.

![]() Wow, that sucks! That looked so painful. WTF was the basket stand doing so close to the line? Someone posted this to compare the distance between the line and the stanchion from NBA and on this court:
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

After seeing the slowed down and zoomed in vine on the internet it is almost as bad as Ware's injury. It was way worse than watching the normal replay at normal speed. while watching the vine you can definitely see bone and the bone looks like it hit the ground leaving a chunk of it on the floor or the sharp edge of the bone cut the floor. After the injury you see a small white spot on the floor where the bone touched the ground. I think we were saved from seeing the injury aftermath as bad as Ware because Paul hidden by the hoop. No matter how many of these I see it never gets easier to watch. |

Can't believe they would have them play in facilties that don't meet NBA court standards. I remember on my sons Jr high team a mom pulling her son from the middle of a game cause a lunch table was too close the back of the basket. She was rigt for doing so, but at the time everybody thought she was hating. Sure enough a week later a kif got injured and ended up in a neck brace. Bring back dee-fense
