He almost walked on water at this point.
Too bad reality and history tell a different story for both.Jeremy Lin is a good BACKUP point guard that could not handle even modest pressure from defenses without morphing into a turnover machine.
The heat game where he could barely get the ball out of the backcourt spoke volumes about his deficiencies...
That and his on-ball and help defense was never any good to begin with.... But the way some talk about him here he was the next coming of Magic Johnson.
Jeremy Lin is a HOF PG that would have won us a chip, provided Melo didn't keep him from playing in the playoffs. And if only Melo didn't pay McHale to let Jeremy get outplayed by Patrick Beverly, another HOF PG.
MDA is a coaching mastermind who would have also provided us with several O'Brien moments, had not Melo killed his career, and subsequently paid DHow to tank on him in LA.
Larry Brown and Marbury were much better Knicks than Melo could ever hope to be. Their mere existence validates the fact that Melo can kill off anything valuable even from long distance.
Don't even mention Denver, and all those parades they've been having the past 4 years...
