I would love to get Bledsoe but correct me if im wrong is it impossible because he is a RFA and we are over the cap? If Phil figured out a way to get him Id be ecstatic.

he wants max money. He's not as good as Lowry and wants to be paid like Chris Paul. He's a good player but his #1 priority is getting paid.

I can't see him going back to Phoenix and he's a restricted free agent...no team is going to make him an offer that Phoenix won't natch....

This why I suggest the knicks. The knicks could send them JR Smith and Shump and they would solidify their current back court....As far as salary Jr and Shump cover roughly 8 mill, but we do have the trade exemption to tack on to make salary for Bledsoe close to 12 mil per season....The max for him is 16 million a season I believe. The opportunity to play in Ny could offset what he feels his market value is....

The knicks could play him and Calderón together and that helps to offset defensive and the ability to create shots from the guard position when the triangle breaks down.

Now I know the knicks are over the cap threshold as far as being allowed to take back a signed and traded player....but how would dumping Dalemberts non guaranteed contact effect that situation?

Perhaps we should stay away from players like that

It's definitely possible. What if amare came home to Phoenix?

He loves that no defense running style.

He makes too much. But a man can dream.

Amare, Larkin? If suns are under cap can't the salaries not match?

Let's go Knicks. That's amare

Bargs for Josh Smith....would they do that? I wouldn't give up anything more than Bargs. That would be a real interesting trade IMO. It adds salary and Josh Smith shoots way too many 3's for a guy who can't shoot that well. But when you think about, it the guy has a Pippen like skillset. I'm intrigued at that cost.

not much... your a year too early ;)

Next year is the real building year. You have Melo, maybe JR, a bunch of young guys who look pretty decent and somewhere between $25-$30mm in cap space as well. Expect even bigger changes

Josh jumps out at me as a guy we could get right now if we wanted. Stan Van Gundy might want to get rid of that contract and make room for Monroe and Drummond to have the 4/5 spot to to themselves.

I think bargs for Josh makes total sense.

Too much is said about Josh shooting too much threes. We're playing system basketball. Getting the ball mid range where he can pass and cut is where his role would be. Very rare would we be asking him to spot up behind the 3. Would He buy in? He's always elevated his game in the playoffs and when they needed him most in Atlanta. He basically took the money in Detroit cut nobody else had any for him.

I would totally take on Josh, but only for Bargs in a salary dump. Josh and Melo at the 3/4 makes a lot of sense.

I think they might do it. Things with Monroe don't sound good. SVG was asked if Greg would sign a max deal in Detroit if it was offered and he said he didn't know. I know Monroe does not want to play with Smith.

That's why the idea makes tons of sense. If Josh is traded to the knicks for Bargs, Monroe resigns before the end of the week.

I think Big Chief Triangle is definitely gearing up for another trade. I can't wait to see what he has up his sleeves. The Tyson trade at first glance was meh and then it really grew on me. Is that just the power of the peyote?

I know it's crazy but what would you guys think if we were able to trade Bargs for Josh.... Then Jr Smith and Shump for Bledsoe?

Josh Smith/Amare
Melo/Cleanthony
Cole/Jason smith
Bledsoe/Larkin
Calderón/THjr

did we get better?

Not a Josh Smith fan. If anything for me, it is a lateral move. I like trading JR though.

I would totally take on Josh, but only for Bargs in a salary dump. Josh and Melo at the 3/4 makes a lot of sense.

I mention the 3's because the guy got trigger happy a few years ago and went from a 50% FG guy to a guy who shot 3-4 3 pointers per game at a 30% clip and was shooting 42% from the field. He's a less useful player now than he was 3-4 seasons ago. Lack of discipline is a worry- hopefully the system and coaching solves that- but we're asking that of a lot of guys right now and I'd certainly be wary of adding another.

If Josh gets back to being the 15-16 ppg, 7-8 reb, 3-4 asts, 1-2 blk, 1-2 stl guy shooting 47-50% from the field that's an efficient player I want in the fold.

if there ever was a team that could use a salary dump trade it would be the Denver nuggets. They have gallo, javale, Hickson and a bunch of guys that do the same thing still signed for 2 more seasons. Maybe they would give us two vets for Amare? Maybe they send gallo and javale to the knicks for Amare? Javale, Hickson and Wilson?

yeah i looked at the roster as soon as phil said they where looking for a back sf/pf..I don't think I want both, but Bargs and shump denver has 1 1/2 sg's) for gallo or chandler seems like a perfect trade.

Gallo has been injured and so has Bargs, although gallos contract is a yr longer, he's solid when healthy, so is chandler.

Danilo Gallinari (knee) says that his knee rehab is going well, and that he hopes he will be ready by the start of training camp.

"I think training camp is realistic," Danilo said. "It’s something that we really talked about with the doctor. It’s something that we really want to achieve and we believe is going to be possible." Danilo added that he is ahead of schedule with regards to being able to run and jump without limitations, and he's excited to get back on the court. Danilo will join the Italian national team for seven to 10 days of practice (no games) in mid-August, and that will be his first full workouts, free of restrictions in over a year. Jun 9 - 7:01 PM
