They should. They are the ones that want Melo. Don't assume Phil will accept garbage in a sign and trade.

We already have ThJr so we don't need Snell. We have Early so we don't need McDermott or that Euro dude. We have our own in Thanasis. Boozer can play but we have A mare and Bargs so we have no use for him.

Getting a future Draft pick isn't worth take all that stuff back.

You had me up until THJr is better than Tony Snell. There's a reason McDormett was taken +20picks ahead of Early and it has nothing to do with his boyishly handsome good looks. Kid can ball but has flaws (defense) like any player entering the league. But there is precedent for players of his build and skillset having succeeded in this: Peja Stojakovic. But unlike Stojakovic, McDormett also has a refined low post and midrange game.

As for Thansis, the dude has demonstrated to be a marginal player at best. His skillset (which is non-existant outside of defense) is a dime a dozen in this league, which is how/why Wesley Matthews, Kelenna Azuibuike and the likd went undrafted. "The Euro" aka Nikola Mirotic, on the other hand, offers a skillset that is at a premium. It wouldn't be offbase to call him a Kevin Love clone that is not as prolific a rebounder...the kid is that good.

If we can get him, McDormett, Butler and picks for ourselves, we'd have done quite well.

I'm higher on McDormett than you are but I will admit that he is risky. I see him as a Peja Stojakovic but he could just as easily turn into a Luke Jackson, Adam Morrison, Joe Alexander, Luke Babbit or some other 6"8' jump shooting white guy that didn't make it, lol. It's why I also preferred to have come to an arrangement before the draft because I thought that players available at 16 and 19 were far more valuable. The future picks should help to make up for that lost opportunity though. Remember, the Bulls have the right to swap picks with the Cavs who.....**** they just acquired LeBron, lol.

thought this was a good read about what the Bulls can do to help us clear cap and add some nice assets.

I'd do this deal in a second.

And for anyone concerned about all the draft picks and finding a spot on the roster - you could always trade up in a draft, or build a team out like Boston did where you've got plenty of youthful assets and can trade them away at the right time for the right winners.

Better to trade Melo and have and keep cap room for future stars/deals, and accumulate some assets and try to build out a strong foundation.

I'd rather be San Antonio than Miami.

My worry with Chicago is I see Noah and Rose as both at risk of breaking down. I like Noah's passion and game, but he has played a lot of minutes, and had quite a few injuries. Rose looked awful last season, who knows what he looks like after yet another year away?

Plus there's some sort of power struggle going on with their coach and GM- I like Thibs a lot, but I wonder if he gets fired next year for BS reasons.

Anyone can break down but you have a teammate currently playing at the level of a top 5 MVP candidate if you go there. Lebron's played a lot of minutes too after all.

True but he is not coached by Thibs and does not have Plantar issues. If it wasn't a foot issue I would not be worried. Foot issues and big men do not mix.

they are the better team though. If I was in his shoes I would just be worried.
